Entangled Feelings

"Yes..." Healer Fu looked at Hanguang Jun, asking for his permission, before proceeding, "The thing is, as the baby is being nurtured by your life force, it has become a part of our world now, Wuxian. It can't survive in any other world because...

One- The baby won't have any counterpart back in his own world to support his survival.

Two- The baby will never recognize omega Wei Wuxian as its mother. It can't survive the separation from you because of the emotional and physical attachment that comes along with the soul bond

"What?!" Wei Ying looked at Healer Fu, shocked, "But..that's completely wrong! How can I snatch someone's baby? That Wei Wuxian fell into a deep sleep, trusting me that I'll help him improve our condition and what did I do?

"Healer Fu! Help! Please!!!" Lan Zhan cried cradling his Wei Ying tenderly in his arms and transferring his spiritual energy in hopes of easing his pain

"Healer Fu?! Why aren't you helping Axian?"

"I can't help our Wuxian, Sect Leader Lan," Healer Fu said thoughtfully, "We forgot that now he and baby are soul-bonded. And if the baby actually heard and felt its mother saying all that...I think the baby is hurt!"

"What?! But..that's just!" Lan Zhan felt speechless

"Try coaxing and apologising to your baby Wuxian, it might help," Healer Fu said. His quiet voice was tinged with an undercurrent of mirth

Wei Ying flushed red with embarrassment. It's one thing to know that he's now technically pregnant but...talking to a baby that isn't even inside him, well except for its soul, was just too much. He looked at Lan Zhan, asking for some help and support to handle this situation when suddenly Sizhui came forward, kissed Wei Ying's stomach and started whispering childishly while rubbing soothing circles over Wei Ying's dantian. 

"Hi, Baby! I'm Lan Sizhui. Your elder brother. Please forgive our mother. Our mother didn't mean to hurt you, I promise! You're a good baby, right? Please don't hurt him little one..."
