"What do you mean, Healer Fu?" Lan Zhan asked, frowning

"Well, do you all even realise that baby can not only hear Wuxian but also understands everything and thus the reaction? It's unheard of that a yet-to-be-born baby could be so capable! It's actually unbelievable! I can only think of it as a side-effect of travelling between different worlds and energies!" Healer Fu exclaimed, awestruck

"Wuxian, if you don't mind can I test my theory?" Healer Fu asked Wei Ying, hopefully

"Umm..well, that depends on how you want to test your theory, Healer Fu." Wei Ying replied, suddenly feeling protective of the baby

"Oh! don't worry, I just want to see if the baby really understands and can give some kind of reaction when something is being said or happens to you. Since, I assume the baby would probably be knowing all of us or at least can sense our positive energy towards it, the only person in this room that can help me in this experiment is Sect Leader Jiang. So, do you all allow it? I promise it won't be anything dangerous," Healer Fu looked at everyone's faces, anxiously

"Wei Wuxian?!" Jiang Cheng asked while scowling at the healer

"Healer Fu, my baby is only four months old. Can we not put more pressure than what the baby is already handling?" Wei Ying asked, perturbed

"Wuxian, I understand your worries but you have to trust me. If what I'm thinking is true, then the baby might help us solve our problems. Also, such kind of information will help you to understand and bond with your baby in a better way. Now, shall I?"

"Okay" Wei Ying nodded hesitantly, leaning his back on his Lan Zhan's chest for support, who immediately wrapped his arms around his Wei Ying, comfortably

"Sect Leader Jiang, Can you please come with me?" Healer Fu asked politely

Jiang Cheng looked at Wei Ying before leaving Yashi along with Healer Fu for a few minutes but when he returned, something seemed really off about him. Jiang Cheng came back without Healer Fu by his side. But the disturbing part wasn't him returning alone but his aura that was completely changed.

Jiang Cheng was glaring at Wei Ying as if he wanted to kill him. His expressions were not very different from the last time when Wei Ying saw Jiang Cheng striking his sword at the edge of the cliff that forced him to break free of Lan Zhan's hand or else Lan Zhan would also have fallen into that abyss along with him. Still, his logical thinking wasn't allowing Wei Ying to feel scared but confused. As he couldn't think of any reason for receiving this unfounded anger and hatred from Jiang Cheng when they were talking normally just minutes ago.

While Wei Ying was busy thinking about the weird change in Jiang Cheng's behaviour, his heart leapt in shock and fear as Jiang Cheng lunged at him with a knife pointing straight at his heart.

And at that moment, Wei Ying froze.

Right in front of him, Jiang Cheng was lying on the cold hard floor, writhing and squirming painfully. And not just Jiang Cheng but Xichen ge, his Lan Zhan, his Ayuan, Jingyi, and even Uncle Lan was gasping in pain.

Healer Fu rushed inside Yashi, covering his nose and mouth with a thick cloth and handed a parchment paper to Wei Ying on which it was written, "Calm your baby, now!"

Immediately, Wei Ying started talking to his baby, fervently apologising for making the baby worry for him unnecessarily, coaxing it to release everyone from whatever kind of magic the baby was doing, reminding the baby that they were all now its family and meant no harm. Wei Ying even declared that he loves his cute, sweet and certainly filial baby and planted flying kisses on his stomach but only when he reassured his baby that he was completely fine, safe and unharmed did everyone in the room sit upright without any pain but shocked beyond words.
