Liz, Sam, Dean are in the library with Castiel, and Henry's already left for school because he's avoiding his dad. Sam has been catching Liz up with what's been going on and a few moments later, Sam just got off the phone and he says, "So, that was the last of the neighbors, just like the rest." Sam sees Dean not listening and he continues to say, "Dean? Dean!" Dean snaps out of it, looks at Sam, and says, "Yeah." Sam says, "You, okay?" Dean says, "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." Sam looks at Liz and she shrugs her shoulders and Sam says, "Just saying we got nothing. No one saw anything unusual going on at the house the day the baby disappeared." Castiel says, "If this is truly the Darkness we're talking about, it's more of a time bomb than a baby." Dean says, "Yeah, but it is still a baby, right? I mean, the Darkness I saw was an adult. So, it still has to, uh, grow up." Castiel says, "The Darkness is almost infinite power. I'm not sure what "growing up" means in this case." Liz says, "Well, God kicked this thing's ass once before, right?" Dean says, "Yeah, it'd be nice if he put down the Mai Tai and show up for work." Castiel says, "I wouldn't count on it." Liz says, "It's possible he's around. Closer than we think, you know?" Dean says, "What makes you say that?" Castiel says, "I believe he made a fairly definitive statement when we walked away." Liz says, "I hate to point this out, but you guys know who we might need to help deal with the Darkness." Dean points at Liz and says, "Don't even say it." Liz says, "He was God's scribe. He did hear about everything." Dean says, "That's just like saying it." Castiel groans and Dean looks over at Castiel and says, "Cass, you all right, pal?" Castiel says, "It's the spell." Sam says, "We were hoping your angel wiring would fight it off or... slow it down at least." Liz says, "The spell is making him too weak." Castiel nods and says, "It also appears I simply respond differently from humans." Dean says, "If you were human, you'd be gone. With you, it's like it's digging deeper." Sam says, "You know, Rowena's the only one who can remove it." Liz softly says, "We're doing everything to find her, okay?" Dean nods and says, "Yeah, but so far, we got nothing." Sam lowers his voice and says, "Well, it's getting worse." Castiel groans and grunts. A few moments later, Dean's trying to get ahold of Crowley and he says, "Come on, Crowley, pick up. I've left you a dozen messages. Why isn't he answering the phone?" Sam says, "Because he's a dick, and that's not breaking news." Dean says, "He's gotta have Rowena in his sights, right? I mean, she did try to take him out." Castiel says, "He's not gonna deliver Rowena to us just so she can lift the spell. He'd rather let it do whatever it's gonna do to me." Dean says, "He's gotta be up to something." Liz says, "He always is." Sam says, "Yeah. Again, not breaking news." Liz has been trying to find Metatron and she says, "Metatron is also off the grid. He stole your car in Blaine, Missouri, right?" Castiel nods and says, "Yeah." Liz says, "Yeah, uh, no accidents, incidents, violations, or anything remotely interesting involving a crappy '78 continental Mark V." Castiel's a little insulted and he says, "You think it's crappy?" Liz nods and says, "Yeah, a little." Castiel says, "A shut-in for centuries, former scribe of God. You wouldn't think he would be a good driver." Liz says, "You know what? I'll look for unusual occurrences at places he might hang out." Liz looks at Castiel and she softly says, "Cass?" Dean says, "Places Metatron might hang out." Castiel says, "Um... I mean, he loves waffles. You could try places that have those." Liz sighs and Dean says, "Okay, so every restaurant in the entire country." Castiel then starts shaking and groaning and they look at Castiel worried and Dean says, "Cass?" Then Castiel falls to the ground and they rush over to Castiel and they say, "Cass!" They try waking him up and Sam says, "Cass? Hey. Are you okay?" Castiel breathes heavily and says, "Relative to what?" Dean says, "You know where you are? What's the date?" Castiel says, "Earth. Several billion years from the beginning." Sam says, "Come on, buddy." They help him sit up and Castiel says, "It was like I was... inside a blender that was set to puree for a tomato salsa." Dean says, "And you're the tomato?" Castiel says, "In this analogy, yes." Dean nods and says, "Yeah." Liz softly says, "Cass, what was that? You scared the crap out of us." Castiel says, "I blacked out for a lot of it. But I... I don't know. It overwhelmed me. I-I couldn't control it." Dean says, "Let's get him up. Come on, come on." They help Castiel stand up and sit him in a chair and Dean says, "We gotta find that witch." Liz says, "Yeah." Castiel says, "What can I do to help?" Liz says, "No, no, no, you just, uh, sit there and take a breather, try and put yourself back together." Castiel softly says, "Okay. I'll do my best. It's..." Dean places a blnaket onto Castiel and Castiel groans and continues to say, "It's difficult with these voices." Sam says, "Now, there are voices?" Dean says, "Are these voices telling you to hurt someone?" Dean backs away and holds an arm in front of Liz and Castiel says, "No. Guys, I'm-- I'm hearing angel radio. It's a lot of chatter. They're... they've been looking for me ever since I escaped, as well as scouring the earth for the perp. It's slang for 'perpetrator.'" Dean nods and says, "Ah." Sam says, "Yeah, thank you. Um, a-any... "Perp" in particular?" Castiel says, "Metatron. They're doubling the effort to find him, so... if we need to get ahold of him, we better do it soon." Dean says, "Yeah, before the God squad does. All right, well, first things first." Sam found something on his laptop, and he says, "Listen to this. May be something here. Uh, in Denver, three women were at this cafe Elta, when their waiter for no apparent reason, stanned and killed one. One survived and the third vanished after furniture seemed to slide around by itself. What do you guys think?" Dean then gets on the phone and says, "Hi, who's your lead on the cafe Elta investigation?"
