Liz wakes up with a yawn and she heads towards the kitchen to get herself a cup of coffee. Liz sees Sam on his laptop, and she says, "Morning, Sam." Sam looks up at Liz and says, "Morning." As Liz pours herself a cup of coffee, she says, "Hey, have you seen my phone?" Sam holds up Liz's phone and says, "Yeah. And it's been ringing non-stop with messages." Liz holds up her coffee and says, "From who?" Sam says, "From Veronica." Liz drops her cup, and it shatters it. Liz blinks her eyes and says, "What?" Sam says, "Yeah. Here, I got that." Sam cleans up the glass and coffee on the ground. Liz sits down at the table and looks at the messages Veronica sent. Message one says, "Hey, Liz. Jacob told me that when I last saw you it wasn't you and that your sorry. I hope your well." Message two says, "Hey, Liz. Um, is it weird that I miss you? I mean, I broke your heart, and I can't stop thinking about you. I know, I know, it's insane." Liz sighs running her hand through her hair, and she says, "I can't believe this." Sam sits in front of Liz and says, "What?" Liz says, "She misses me." Sam says, "Really? Even after how you almost killed her." Liz nods and says, "Yeah. Jacob told her it wasn't really me." Sam says, "Do you miss her?" Dean walks down the hall towards the kitchen when he hears, Liz and Sam talking so he pauses and listens to their conversation. Liz sighs and says, "I don't know. I mean, yes. She was the first serious relationship I ever had." Sam says, "It's Valentine's Day." Liz sighs and says, "Yeah, I don't know. Going to see an ex who broke my heart on Valentine's Day doesn't sound too good." Dean didn't know Liz still had feelings for Veronica. Sam says, "Okay, so it doesn't have Veronica. I mean, you could go out and have some fun." Liz chuckles and Sam smiles and says, "What? Come on, you were my wingman, let me be yours." Liz says, "I don't know, Sammy. Anyway, what were you working on before I walked in?" Sam says, "I think I found a case." Dean thinks this his chance to make himself known and he walks into the kitchen and says, "A case?" Dean walks over to get himself a cup of coffee and Sam says, "Yeah. Staci Altman, 19-year-old babysitter from Hudson, Ohio, was murdered last night." Dean says, "Well, that blows. But if her name's not Amara, how is that us?" Sam says, "Because her heart was ripped out." Dean says, "On Valentine's Day?" Sam says, "Yeah." Dean says, "Was it, like, an ironic werewolf? All right, we'll check it out. But, first, I need bacon." Sam chuckles. As Dean goes over to make some bacon, Sam leans forward to Liz and says, "I think maybe the reason why you don't want to see Veronica is because you're still in love with Dean." Liz sighs and softly says, "Yeah." Dean heard what Sam said it makes him feel a lot better to know that Liz would rather be with him then Veronica.
