TW - Swearing

I've been back at school a couple of weeks now, dropped right back into the same mundane shit as ever - cheerleading, homework for classes I hate, isolated to sitting with the cheerleaders and jocks every lunch period. I haven't spoken to Eddie since that last night of summer, I've heard the Walkie crackle a few times as though he's been thinking about talking to me, but he never says anything. We pass each other in school and share the odd class or two, but we never interact, just shy glances once in a while.

By the end of September I was feeling awful, constantly exhausted and aching, literally all the damn time! I'd assumed it was just the old 'back to school blues'. Cheer practice was exhausting and it didn't go unnoticed by Chrissy how tired I was, "Hey sweetie, you feeling okay? You've been a little sloppy lately." she questioned, I couldn't tell if her tone was that of genuine concern or just because she was captain.
"Hey Chris, yeah, I'm okay. Just tired. Sorry, I'll try to rest up and bring my A-game next time!" I chuckled back, hoping she'd let a few missed steps pass,
"It's okay, sweet! I'm just worried about you is all!" she smiled sympathetically, placing her hand on my shoulder. "Are you heading home with Jason?" she asked, gesturing toward the door, knowing he was gong to be parked outside waiting for us,
"Nah, I think I'll walk. I need the fresh air, got so much work to do when I get home. Hopefully the walk with amp me up a little." I replied, grabbing my duffel bag from the bench. We headed out the door and she bolted toward Jason standing by the car, flicking her ponytail as she galloped into his embrace. They glanced over at me whilst talking, before we exchanged smiles and waves, going our separate ways.

After they drove off, I pulled my Walkman from my duffel and threw my headphones on, immediately blasting Black Sabbath deafening loudly through the flimsy orange earpieces. It was still a little warm out, but Autumn was defiantly on its way, the wind had an occasional chill in it and my high tops crunched through the leaves that started to scatter across the ground. As I walked I felt my feet getting tired so I stopped to loosen the laces a little, I noticed my shoes were getting snugger at the moment, always found myself adjusting the laces or enjoying taking them off entirely. The same with my jeans, actually. I couldn't wait to get home and throw my sweats on! I'd loosened my belt twice today already, a daily occurrence really.

As I started walking again I saw lights behind me, I glanced back to see a familiar vehicle coming towards me. Slowing a little as it passed, I could see Eddie behind the wheel of his van with Dustin Henderson in the passengers seat. The van slowed to a stop as I carried on walking, "You want something, freak?" I giggled, raising my eyebrows as I smirked.
"Hey, Princess Carver... no brother tonight?" Eddie called out, the first words we've exchanged since the summer,
"Nope. You're safe tonight, weirdo." I chuckled, I felt bad calling him names, but it was for appearances I guess.
"Let's go man, I gotta get home or my mom will kill me!" Dustin whined, confused as to why Eddie stopped in the first place.
"Keep your cap on kid." Eddie chuckled, "A dungeons masters work is never done. Later, princess. Try not to choke on our dust!" he chuckled as he winked, speeding off down the road, leaving me to continue my walk.

- Eddie POV -
"What the fuck was that about?!" Dustin yelled, holding his hands up, gesturing behind him, "You never talk to her! Not even to taunt her like you do Jason!". Dustin was right, I never talk to Y/N in or out of school, until this summer anyway, even then we'd agreed not to talk after our last night together.
"You'll understand when you're grown up, kid." I chuckled, hoping he's just let it go. I haven't stopped thinking about her since the summer, I missed her, I actually missed her. She was a sweet girl and smoking hot. Plus, I got to see a genuine side of her when it was just the two of us. I swore to myself I'd graduate this year, I want her when we're done with high school, I'll be with her. I need her. I don't even know if she feels the same.

I finally drop Dustin home, making him promise not to mention Y/N again, especially at school. I headed home to smoke up and try not to think about her... like I always do.

- Y/N POV -
I woke up the next morning just as exhausted as when I fell asleep. My body ached as I sat up and my head was pounding. As I went to stand I was hit with an overwhelming wave of nausea, crawling it's was up from my stomach to my throat. Running into my en suit I just about made it to the bowl before I was violently sick. My whole body trembled as I continued to wretch and hurl. This was the fifth day this week that I've felt like I needed to hurl. I reached up for some toilet paper to wipe my chin as caught a glance as the tampon box next to the toilet. I paused before dragging my finger along the lid, noticing the layer of dust covering the box. Then it hit me... I haven't used these since the summer... we're now in November.

Fuck.

I sat on the floor trying to piece it all together, trying not to jump to the worst possible conclusion. My thought suddenly being disrupted by shouting at my bedroom door, "Y/N! You up?" Jason called out.
"Yeah, Jas! Just in the bathroom. I'm gonna drive myself today, want to pop to the library before class!" I hollered back, I wasn't going to the library, I was going to the drug store before school.
"Okay, nerd. See you at school!" he chuckled before he headed downstairs. I got dressed quickly and threw my hair into a ponytail and added a touch of mascara before grabbing my keys and bag, heading to my car.

I had to drive to the other side of town to find a drug store where I could be sure nobody would know me or my family. Deliberately leaving my cheer jacket in the car in a useless attempt to hide that I was still in school. I mean, I'm technically an adult, just a year behind in school... I grabbed a test, then stuck a few extra things in the basket to disguise the test including a bottle of water, a hairbrush, makeup wipes and some gum. The lady at the register raised her brow as she bagged my items, I dropped my head to avoid eye contact, leaving the money on the counter and rushing out, bag in hand. I stopped in my car to glance over the test, it said it should be the first pee of the day so I guess I'd have to wait until tomorrow. For now, I needed to get to school and try desperately to concentrate and not be distracted by the potential of carrying Eddie Munsons fucking kid.
