TW - swearing, smut
It's almost July and it's been a few weeks since I had Arwen now and things are going great. Both Eddie and I were terrified about bringing her home but she's honestly the easiest baby to care for. She feeds like a dream and sleeps super well during night, she even naps well in the day. Eddie has hit the ground running with fatherhood, it's like he was born for this. He spends hours just staring at her, singing to her, even reading Lord of the Rings to her. Wayne loves having her around, he falls asleep in the recliner holding her every evening. He doesn't even care when she actually does start crying in the night and wakes the whole trailer park, even offers to take her so we can stay asleep. Oh god, and he only responds to 'Pop-pops' now and deliberately ignores us if we call him Wayne, and he insists on calling her Jellybean still... so does Eddie, occasionally shortening it to JB. But I don't mind that, she'll always be my little Jellybean. Eddie started at the auto shop about a week ago and he loves it. He comes home every evening covered in dirt and oil but with a huge smile on his face. He's starting talking about opening his own shop one day, with Jellybean as his apprentice. He's taken her to work twice this week already and talked her though what he's doing, she has no idea what he's saying, but it's still cute. I've got some work down at Family Video thanks to Steve and Robin, and I can go full time when Jellybeans a little older if I want. Steve's even talked about managing work around college if I choose to follow that route one day. For now I'm happy to pick up the odd shift while the baby's still small, I hate being away from her. I actually miss my baby belly some days, the feeling of her moving inside me - but then I look at her and it makes my heart burst, she's perfect.
Eddie and I are both graduating this year, Eddie couldn't be happier to be leaving Hawkins High behind and I'm so excited we get to start our adult lives together. Even with the labour pains, I managed to pass the math final with flying colours, Eddie too. Graduation day has rolled around fucking fast, inItially I didn't want to go to the graduation ceremony, Jellybean's still small plus my parents would be there for Jason, they haven't reached out or anything since she was born, and yes, they know she's born. Jason told them all about her and showed them a photo he now keeps in his wallet, but still, nothing. I didn't really expect anything else. Eddie told me I was being ridiculous by not wanting to go, told me if I didn't go then neither would he and he's worked so hard for this for so long - he needs to be there, so I'm going I guess. Wayne agreed to take Jellybean whilst he watches us walk the stage, just another excuse for him to get extra cuddles from her, I'm sure of it. He's even picked out an outfit for her to wear for the ceremony, one that matches his tie perfectly, he's honestly obsessed with her. The worlds most natural gramps - I mean, Pop-pops.
The morning of the ceremony has arrived and I woke up to find an empty bed and crib, the room filled with silence and calm. I lay there in bed but enjoying the peace until I have to get ready to walk across the stage in front of the whole graduating class, teachers and my parents who all treated me like some kind of fucking heathen for being pregnant. "Shh, JB... mommy's still sleeping." I hear Eddie hush from outside the door before it slowly opens and he tries to tip-toe in toward Jellybeans crib.
"And what are you two up to?" I asked, making Eddie freeze in place and snicker at Jellybean,
"Oh no, JB! We've been rumbled!" he chuckles as he turns to face me. "Sorry momma, somebody was fussy this morning so we've been up watching Pop-pops make breakfast. I was gonna try and get her back down while you got ready, but she seems pretty awake right now." he says as he walks over to the bed, taking a seat on the edge, using the most adorable baby voice when he looks at Jellybean. I pull the covers back and he slides into the bed, keeping Jellybean in his arms as we snuggle in together,
"Good morning my baby... and good morning to you too Jellybean!" I giggle, Eddie pretends to be shocked by being called 'my baby'.
"Morning! You sleep okay?" he asks, passing Jellybean over to me,
"Like a log!" I reply, peppering Jellybeans face with kisses. "Wayne's making breakfast, you say?" I ask, raising my eyebrow as I look at Eddie,
"Yes, m'lady! Eggs, bacon, sausages - the works!" he chuckles, I could honestly drool at the sound of the food. We put Jellybean in her crib and take the monitor out to breakfast with us before we have to start getting ready.
