Rejection

Derek walked through skylers front door in the middle of the night, holding skyler in his arms.
"Where is everyone?" He asked
"It's mischief night. Scotts at the school, and my moms at work" Skyler breathed out
"Isaac?"
"Probably with Allison" she coughed out and Derek sighed as he opened her bedroom door. He stopped, noting the garbage everywhere. He sighed and her their down on her bed, covering her with the blanket
"I should be taking u to the hospital"
"This isn't something a hospital can fix...u know that" Skyler spoke weakly. Derek huffed and stood up, going to her bathroom and grabbing a warm wet rag. He brought it back over and placed it on her head
"What's been going on? Why is this happening?"
"Idk...I can't stop eating..if I don't...i feel weak but either way no matter how much I eat it's not enough. And even tho Im eating like crazy..im pretty sure im losing weight, And when I don't eat I get sick..and I'm cold..like ice cold all the time."
"So u need food?" Derek asked hurriedly. Skyler pointed at a basket of snacks she had under her bed. She tried to sit up while derek grabbed her a granola bar, opened it and handed it to her. Skyler took a bite, feeling embarrassed
"U should go" she stated making derek furrow his brows. Skyler sniffled "u to see me like this..see what's been going on" she sniffles, gesturing to the mess in her room. Derek watched as a tear fell down her cheek. He looked at her sadly, raising his hand and wiping it away and pressing the rag to her head again
"I'm not leaving until I know ur ok" he whispered. He pulled out his phone and called Scott
"Hey. Where the hell have u been?" Scott asked on  the other end. Derek stood up angrily
"How the hell could u be out doing whatever the hell mischief night is when ur sister was missing?!"
"U found her? Where is she?"
"I brought her home. Why the hell havent u been out looking for her if u knew she was missing?!"
"Derek?" Skyler called out "bucket" she pointed at the bucket not too far from her. Derek dropped the phone and ran over, grabbing the bucket and bringing it to her. Skyler grabbed it and threw up inside it, starting to cry while derek pulled back her hair "what's happening to me?" She cried, laying back in the bed. Derek sat the bucket down, picking up his phone again
"Scott. U and ur mom need to get here now" Derek demanded over the phone.
"Ok. Get her to the hospital. I'll meet u there." Scott told him and Derek nodded, ending the call and picking her up again.
"Where are we going?" Skyler coughed out
"The hospital" Derek stated as he walked out of the house with her in his arms.
Derek drove way over the speed limit to the hospital with his hand leaning over to the passenger side, holding skylers hand as the sat with her head against the window and her eyes closed. When they got there scott pulled up at the same time. Derek went to the other side of the car and grabbed skyler, running her inside
"We need help!" Derek yelled making a bunch of nurses and doctors run over and out skyler on a gerny. Scott and Derek went to follow but we're stopped
"U cant come unless ur family" the lady said. Scott looked at derek
"I've got it. U can go" he told him before following the lady "I'm her brother" he told the lady as he grabbed his sisters hand and followed.

By the next morning The doctors got Skyler in a room, stabilizing her when her mom was finally told what happened. Mr mccall followed Melisa to the room but Melisa stopped him before coming in.
"That's my daughter in there there Melisa" he argued
"I know but for right now ur just gonna cause problems ok? And she doesn't need that right now so just stay here for now." Melisa demanded as she opened the door and walked inside to see her daughter with an iv and a breathing tube resting under her nose "what the hell happened?" She asked Scott
"It's something with her transition we think. Peter thinks she's rejecting the bite" Scott stated as he stayed besides the sleeping skyler, holding her hand. He watched her shiver in her sleep, so he pulled the covers over her
"Peter? Where is he?"
"Derek told me she was kidnapped by whoever had derek and Peter, derek is the one who brought her here."
"And where is he now?"
"He said he was going to do a few things" Scott shrugged
"Ok. Honey" Melisa stated, sitting down in the chair by skylers bed. "She's stable. They've got it..but u need to get to school. There's nothing u can do for her right now" Scott sighed, looking down as his thumb traced his sisters hand
"I called deaton. He said he knows what to do..we just have to give him some time to get here" Melisa nodded
"Ok. And I'll be here when he does...and when he gets here I'll call u" Scott nodded "come on, get to school"
