The End Of A Movie Ive Seen Before

Skyler laid in her bed, looking up at the ceiling as she thought. She thought about a few things. Like for one, the conversation she had with her father only a few days ago.

Skyler sat in her car in the school parking lot. She put the car in park and was ready to get her day started when she heard her phone ringing. She leaned over to the passenger seat, pulling her phone out of her bag to see her fathers name on the screen. She had been dodging her dad since he came into town. She knew he was attempting to spend time with his kids..but while Scott was playing nice, skyler couldn't have cared less about her dads motives. Skyler sighed and rolled her eyes before clicking answer and putting the phone to her ear
"Wow. I was beginning to think u were avoiding Me" Mr. Mcall spoke. Skyler rolled her eyes, holding in what would have been her usual response and trying to play nice
"Sorry dad. I've just been kindof busy. U know...school and everything" she lied
"By school and everything..don't u really mean spending time with ur boyfriend derek Hale?" Her father asked.
"He's not my boyfriend" Skyler told him. She was telling the truth...they weren't official.
"I may be old to u skyler...but I'm not an idiot. I know there's something going on between the two of u, so just admit it"
"Why do u even care?"
"Is it really that surprising that I would care about who my daughter was spending all of her time with?"
"U want me to answer that truthfully?...or"
"Skyler" Mr. Mcall interrupted his sarcastic and judgy daughter
"What?" Sky sighed annoyed
"I'm not sure I like this derek Hale"
"We'll I'm 100 percent sure...I don't care what u think" Skyler scoffed
"I know that u don't care ab what I think but I care about u and ur safety skyler. If ur gonna believe anything, can u at least believe that?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means that..he is an adult. Not only that...he has been convicted of murder...twice"
"Emphasis around the word convicted dad. He wasn't charged. He didn't do it"
"That doesn't matter skyler. He is not a good person if he manages to find himself in those situations. He's also way older than u. I don't trust that he has good intentions"
"What does that mean?"
"It means....he could be manipulating u" Skyler bursted out laughing
"Are u crazy? U think he's manipulating me? Dad...im sure he's not and if there was any manipulation going on in our relationship...it would be me doing the manipulating, not derek, ok?"
"Skyler. Im trying to help u"
"So what are u gonna do? U gonna arrest him or something?"
"If I find out the two of u have done something illegal...yes. I will."
"Illegal? Like what? We got together so he and I could go off, robbing banks" Skyler scoffed
"No I mean if the two of u have slept together." Mr. Mccall told her making Skyler freeze and her face drop
"What?" She whispered
"Sleeping with a minor is illegal skyler. If I find out the two of u have slept together, I will arrest him. I won't let him manipulate, ruin or hurt u."
"U really will do anything in ur power to make me miserable won't u?"
"I'm trying to protect u skyler."
"I don't need u to protect me dad. I've got mom. And for ur information...mom actually likes derek and so does Scott and their opinions are all that matters to me so take that as ur cue to stay the hell out of my relationships and while ur at it..stay the hell out of my life" Skyler fumed, hanging up the phone before her father had the chance to say anything back.
Mr. Mccal sighed, pulling the phone from his ear, regretting how that went down. He dialed another number and put the phone back to his ear to talk again
"Hello" melisa spoke from the other end of the phone
"Hey it's me" Mr. Mcall spoke "I just have a question"
"Okay. What is it?"
"What do u think of this derek Hale?"
"Why?"
"I'm just curious" Mr. Mccall shrugged. Melisa sighed
"U really don't need to be butting into skylers relationships. I assure u..she's fine"
"Can u just answer the question please?" He interrupted.
"I don't know him very well...but every time I've ever seen him, he's protecting skyler, helping her, caring for her. So do I like him? Yeah. Yeah I do...because he loves skyler and if it isn't obvious to anyone who's ever seen them together, then their idiots." Melisa told him. Mr. Mccall sighed
"Alright. That's all I needed. Thankyou" he spoke, ending the phone call.
