Derek woke up the next morning with his back to Skyler. He sat up, looking over to see her sleeping soundly next to him, facing him. He laid back down, pulling the blanket up and covering her arms. He rested his head on the pillow and looked at her. He liked to look at her...she was beautiful. He couldn't help it. He was in love. He wanted to tell her. He wanted to tell her he's loved her since the beginning but the time still didn't feel right. He wanted to tell her once he was himself again and then maybe they could actually be in a relationship instead of...occasionally kiss and sleep together. He thought about the possibility that he might not get his powers back. He came to the conclusion that if that happened he might ask her to bite him...or he won't and he'll stay human. But he hated being human. He didn't like feeling weak. Skyler would say he didn't like not being the big bad wolf anymore and he wouldn't argue with that...because it was the truth. He hated how fragile he was now..that skyler felt the need to literally never leave his side so she could protect him because something as little as a cut could kill him now. He also thought about..what if the roles were reversed and she was human again. That's what made him understand her not wanting to leave his side...because he knew that he would do the same for her. Derek looked at skylers face...wondering how In the world she was made so perfectly. On paper..no one would ever guess that why would he good together. The two were nothing alike...but the things that they had in common were the things that drew them together...and the things they understood about one another that no one else seemed to notice or understand. Like the fact that Derek had a wall up..not letting anyone passed it..acting like the big bad wolf when he was really a total softy. No one has ever really broken down that wall...but skyler did it...and he let her. No one would have ever noticed the anxiety marks on skylers back, or the need to protect everyone, or the fact that she has not once given up or let go of Derek even when he deserved it. She stayed..she slept next to him, protected him, slept..with him, even when he couldn't tell her how he really felt. All he knew how to do was give her everything she wanted or needed...protect her..and gaze at her perfection. Derek looked at her, thinking about the fact that he couldn't see himself without her anymore. Every day, she's the person he thinks about. Every night, she's the person he dreams about. When he thinks about his future it's crystal clear that she was made to be in it.
Skyler opened her eyes, looking straight at derek to see him looking at her. She smiled
"We're u watching me sleep?" She asked with a groggy morning voice. Derek smiled
"Maybe." He whispered "I like looking at u" he told her. Skyler smiled
"We'll ur not too bad yourself" she chuckled slightly
"Oh yeah?" Derek laughed. Skyler smiled at him before hearing her alarm go off. She sat up, reaching over and shutting it off before laying back down and looking at derek again
"Time go get up" she whispered
"No" Derek told her, grabbing onto her and pulling her against him, holding her tightly "not yet" he told her. Skyler laughed
"We have to get up" she told him while laughing
"No we don't. We can't stay here forever" Derek told her, burying his face in her shoulder as she laughed.

The group stood in Derek's loft with deputy perish as Derek looked at him
"He covered u in gasoline?" Derek asked him
"It's the hair and nails isn't it?" Lydia asked "the parts of the body that are essentially dead"
"We'll they should be gone." Derek told her
"I was set on fire. All of me should be gone" perish told them
"Not if ur like us" Scott spoke up
"Like u?"
"I don't think he's like us" Derek told them
"Then what is he?" Lydia asked
"I'm sorry but I have no idea" Derek answered
"But u knew about Jackson and Kira and Skyler" Scott spoke
"This is a little out of my experience" Derek answered "there might be something in the bestiary. Did u try argent?"
"Idk where he is" Scott answered
"Ok hold on. What's a bestiary?" Perish asked "actually that's not even my first question. Just..just tell me one thing. Are all of u like lydia? Are u all psychic?"
"Psychic?" Derek asked and Skyler started to laugh
"Yeah" perish spoke
"Not exactly" Scott answered
"Ok then what are u?" Perish asked. Scott and Skyler looked at derek and he shrugged. The two looked at perish, closing there eyes and then opening them again to show him their glowing ones.
