Kanan meditates in the outskirts of the plains, hearing everyone's voices all at once.
"Wanna Ride?"
"The Jedi Temple is in danger."
"Kanan, you haven't gotten me a present since we first met."
"I have to save her, no matter what."
"You can learn what it truly means to be a Jedi."
"You didn't prepare me for this, Kanan."
"How can I move on, without you?"
"Sacrifice is never the easy choice to make! But we make it in the name of Freedom!"
"Execute her!"
"Long Live Freedom!!
"There's something I need to tell you."
"I know I can always count on you."
"I'm not ready for this, Kanan."
"Be brave, be strong."
Opening his blind eyes and looking out at the fields of the plains, the white Lot-wolf was staring back at him from the grass.
The wolves in the distance focused their stare as the white wolf growls at him for a moment and vanishes into the grass.
Kanan raises his head as he looks over his shoulder, "I need you to do something for me." he asks, both of his students stood behind him. "Anything." Ezra answers.
Mako flicks her eyes away, arms crossed tightly and biting her lip, "Take the lead on getting Hera back." he orders them. Ezra just looks stunned as he was confused by his order. "Shouldn't you be the one to do that?" he asks him.
Kanan turns to his shoulder, "I would, but I can't think clearly because of the way I feel about her. I might make a mistake. One that could cost us." he answers.
Ezra exchanged looks with Mako momentarily, "We can do this together." Ezra informs him, Leto flicks his eyes down at Mako as she was hesitant in her words.
Kanan shook his head at his apprentice "No." he answers and stood to his feet, turning to them. "I'll be with you, but this has to be your plan. You lead," he tells them.
They both just looked at him, "If that's what you want." he answers, and Kanan turns away from him. "It's what we need if we're going to save Hera... and Amelia," he answers.
Mako perks up at the mention of her mother, and Kanan turns away to the setting sun. "And everyone else," he spoke. Then heard Leto chirping.
Turning back, he steps to his growing apprentice "Mako, walk with me. I have something to show you." he spoke. Walking past her, Mako blinks for a moment, tossing a look at Ezra, who shrugs at her and followed after Kanan.
"You have grown since we first met, here on Lothal. You are powerful, with hints of wisdom," he informs her, and she flicks her eyes up at him. "All thanks to your training and guidance, Kanan," she answers.
