Y/N pov
Jane and I have both been dancing the same old song since forever. She knows I like her and I know she likes me. But right now we are on a stakeout, watching over this guy who has connections with James Holt. The head of the drug ring we have been following.
"Come on Y/N. Just stop watching him like a hawk." She spoke from her bed as she ate a bag of crisps.
"I'm doing our job Jane." I told her without taking my eyes away from the suspect. I heard her scoff as she stood from the bed.
"Oh would you look at that. He is scratching his ass. Again." She stated as she stood behind me. "He isn't going to do much Y/N."
"We don't know that." I told her sternly. "He could do anything that we don't expect."
"He's a creature of habit Y/N. He has done the same thing everyday for the whole time we have been here." She yelled as Y/N just looked at her.
"I get you're frustrated." I started as she ran her hands through her hair with a chuckle.
"Frustrated doesn't begin to cover it." She snarled. "We need to talk about the obvious."
"Well you already know how I feel but you keep hiding your own." I stated calmly. I watched as she started to become angry with me.
"I am in love with you." She shouted at the same time a shot was fired. It happened too fast as I quickly called for help and held pressure to her neck.
"You're going to be fine Jane." I told her. I could see the fear in her eyes. "Help is on the way." I watched as she just gazed at me.
Before I knew it, I was sat in the hospital waiting room. Waiting for some news off of her.
"Hey Y/N." Clark walked in and sat beside me. "We have him tied in your apartment." I just nodded as I stood up and made my way to my apartment. I walked in with Clark behind me and Denny was stood beside him
"Do you know who's blood this is?" I asked him as he just stared at me. He remained silent so I lost it and punched him in the face repeatedly. "This is the blood of my partner. My best friend and she is currently in surgery." I told him as I held his head up by his hair. He gritted his teeth in pain as I threw another series of punches. I didn't care if I seriously hurt him. He could be the reason Jane doesn't make it.
"Stop Y/N." Clark spoke softly. "You're killing him." He told me as I looked at him. I decided to leave and head back to the hospital. The nurse led me to her room and I saw her lying their. Tears in her eyes as she saw me.
"I thought I lost you." I kissed her head as I held her hand in my own. I want to feel her to make sure she is still here. "I love you so fucking much Jane. Don't ever leave me." I whispered as I had tears in my eyes.
"I won't leave you. Ever." She whispered as I pressed my lips to hers in a soft kiss. My heart felt complete to finally have the woman I have been pining about in secret.
