The hospital visit was uneventful, besides the fact that Mia sprained her ankle. The police visit would take too long to describe, but all that mattered now? Cam's arrested, and his case is under investigation. Both Mia and I had restraining orders against him so he couldn't get close to us, which helped my dreams, or should I say nightmares, a little.

The next week or so was boring, and other than school, homework, and sleep, I did nothing. Kale and I watched a few movies, including Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc., our favorites, well myfavorites. Kale's doctor gave him the OK to try out for the bowling team, and he made it! Yaay! He joined a league, starting this Friday night, so he could practice with a few of his friends from the team at school.

I, regretfully, promised to attend a few of the league nights since I wasn't allowed to watch him at the school competitions.

"Hanna Banana, you're so slow!" Kale screamed up the stairs of Kayla's house.

Yes, we were stillliving at Kayla's, unfortunately.

"Shut your face, I'm coming!" I called, running down the stairs.

Kale kissed my cheek and I followed him out of the house, closing the front door behind me.

"This is Josh, Zack, and Mikey."

"Hi," I smiled at the boys.

Josh and Mikey seemed nice, smiling and walking away, but Zack climbed up onto a chair next to me.

"I'm going to go put some stuff away in my bowling locker. I'll be back," Kale kissed my cheek.

Zack started tickling my leg, and I flinched, still remembering Cam.

"Don't touch her," Kale screamed at Zack, but he let his hand creep up my leg.

"Man, I said don't touch her!" Kale screamed.

I pushed Zack's hand away and smiled politely at him.

"Excuse me, I think I'm going to be sick."

I ran to the backroom, just in time to see my lunch in the toliet. Great. I thought to myself.

"Han?" Kale knocked on the backroom door.

"Mhm, just bowl. I'm fine," I groaned.

"Hanna, are you sure?"

"I think I'm just getting the flu or something,"

"You sure? I can take you home before bowling starts."

"How much time do you have?"

"Like 20 minutes,"

"I'm sorry. Please, can you take me home?"

"Sure Han."

I laid in bed the rest of the night, googling different options of what I could be experiencing. One struck me by surprise, and to be perfectly honest, it scared the crap out of me.

"Kayla, I'm going to walk to the store. I need to buy a few things. I read that I can get an over-the-counter medicine to help with my nausea."

"Sure, honey. Call me if you need me to pick you up,"

"Thanks Kayla,"

***

The whole way to the store, my stomach was flipping, and I was scared. Cancer? It was possible. The flu? Hopefully. But, all I could think about what that one little word. The one that kept running through my head, and it took scary to a whole new level.
