Funny Naruto Facts - Part Uno

It takes a lot of inspiration and fanfic reading to come up with these cliche moments, so I've decided to list you some funny Naruto facts to give you something to read for the moment (and also to apologise for my slow updates).

1. The word naruto actually stands for those round, pink fishy things you find in ramen - fishcakes! No wonder Kishimoto made ramen Naruto's favourite food!

2. Originally, Kishimoto did not decide for Sakura to be one of the main heroins of his story. This was because he said he was unable to draw up good female heroins. Therefor he made Sakura a heroin who could not understand man, which is the best example of a heroin he could come up with.

3. You know how almost all of the Naruto characters wear sandals instead of normal shoes? Kishimoto himself stated that he liked drawing toes! How funny is that?

4. Kishimoto originally planned to make the Akatsuki a group of monsters with no human traits. Maybe that's why we have Kisame and Zetsu!

5. Kishimoto said he wouldn't dare to draw Kakashi's full face because the fans expectancy are too high.

6. Kishimoto made Naruto dumb because he said it was more fun to draw a dumb main character than a smart and witty one. Poor Naruto!

7. Did you know that Kishimoto said that is he were to be a girl, he would date Shikamaru out of all the other male characters... It's a joke, of course.

8. Bakudan is Deidara's favourite food, because it is the homonym meaning bomb/explosion.

9. Some believe Sakura is like Konohanasakuya-hime, the blossom princess and symbol of delicate earthly life. She is the daughter of the mountain god Ohoyamatsumi. She is often considered an avatar of Japanese life, especially since her symbol is the sakura, or cherry blossom.

10. The only mention of Ino's mother was when she and Sakura visited Sasuke in the hospital. She yelled, "Mom! I'm going out for a walk." However, there was no response.

Honestly, I don't find the last one very funny, just plain sad and a little creepy. Comment to let me know what you think! —KURUMI
