Chapter 5

Hale Loft.

Derek has just woken up from his sleep. He is walking down the stairs in his pajamas when he hears a knock on the door.

He starts quietly walking to the window that's beside the door. He doesn't hear anything, but the knock comes again. He gets his claws out for safety and he opens the door.

Nothing is there.

He is about to close the door when two girls jump in the doorway saying "HEY!"

Derek puts his hand on his chest just happy to be seeing those two girls. "Rhyme, Harmony. You can't be scaring me like that."

They both laugh.

"Sorry." Rhyme apologizes.

"What are y'all doing here?" He asks.

"We wanted to come visit."

"Yeah. 'Cause we knew you weren't going to invite us." Harmony says.

"You know I would have, but things are kind of crazy around here."

"How crazy?" Harmony asks.

Jed starts walking down the stairs. "Crazy enough that we got attacked our second night here."

"WHAT?" Rhyme and Harmony says.

Jed hugs the two girls. "It's great to see you two."

"It's great to see you too." Rhyme says.

Harmony notices his outfit. "Where are you going?"

"I am going to the Hospital. My Mama signed me up and I kind of like it." He leaves.

"Is he still a little on edge about Andi and Alyssa?" Harmony asks.

"Yeah..."

The door busts open for them too see Lori.

"Oh my god, how many people are coming?" Derek says.

Wyatt and Alec comes in carrying Eli by his arms.

"He's hurt."

Attaway General Hospital.

While walking down the hallway, Nina is about to assign the TV's to their assignments.

"We have two new patients today. Davie and Grayson. Kit, Georgia you're with Davie, Rosie, Jack, and Jed. You are with Grayson." Nina faces the volunteers. "Any questions?"

They all shake their heads no.

"Good." She leaves.

"Nurse Sandy told me that one of them was a bully." Rosie says.

"The only bully here is Georgia." Jed says.

"I hate you."

"Of course you do."

"Stop talking and let's get to work." Kit says.

They all roll their eyes and go to their positions.

Hale Loft.

Derek has laid Eli on the couch, sipping small portions of water into his mouth.

Eli looks pale, a little gray, and he looks like he is dying.

Everyone is standing around him, wondering how he got like this.

"What happened?" Derek asks.

Eli has a tear come down his face because of his pain.

Derek starts to cry so he puts his hand on his sons' shoulder and he starts taking away as much pain as he can. Derek knows he can take so much at a time, but he is over taking the pain.
