It had been two weeks since Jake was born. Two weeks since I’d accepted being his godmother. Two weeks since Harry had given me the promise ring,

Every day I wore it around my neck. I never let it out of my sight, not once. To me it was comfort, knowing how someone was there for me, a promise that Harry would never break,

“Good morning,” I felt Harry’s arms glide around my waist, his head nuzzled the crook of my neck,

“Morning,” I replied with a yawn,

Harry laughed softly, “How can you yawn? We’ve actually had a decent night’s sleep for once,” He told me,

   “I know,” I breathed, “I think I’ve caught up a little bit,”

“Good,” Harry whispered in my ear, “Because I doubt whether it’s going to last,”

Moaning, I shuffled under the covers so that we were face to face, “I know, I’m preparing myself for absolutely no sleep tonight,”

Harry smiled, “I’ll help you out,” He told me while curling a piece of my short blonde hair around his finger,

“You probably shouldn’t,” I sighed, “You’ve got a recording in a couple of days haven’t you? I don’t want you falling asleep whilst you’re doing it,” I grinned,

Laughing at me, Harry shook his head, “That won’t happen,” He said, “And besides, I can’t leave you to do it on your own. That’s just cruel, especially since they outnumber you three to one,”

“Hmm…” I murmured, “I wonder how long it us until they…” I stopped abruptly as I heard through the monitor on the table next to me, “Oh crap,” I slammed my head back into pillow,

   “Now that is jinxing it,”

“I still don’t know what that means,” I told Harry as I rolled out of the bed and stood up, I turned around and put my hands on my hips, “Are you going to explain it to me?” I asked cocking my head to the side,

With a smirk and twitch on his lips, Harry shook his head and leant on his elbow, “No,” He smiled, “I like confusing you,”

I couldn’t help but smile back and then, pulling my dressing gown over my shoulders to keep me from freezing to death in my own home, scurried into the girls’ room,

It was Jaime who was crying, I could tell before I even got inside, their cries are significantly different. Jaime’s is of a higher pitch, Annalise cries with short breaths and Noelle elongates hers so that it’s almost just on one note,

“Good morning to you too,” I said as I picked her up, “I’m very proud of you,” I told her, “Sleeping through the whole night like a big girl,”

Harry then appeared stretching in the doorway, “Shall I have a shower now, then I’ll take over and you can have a shower?”

“Sounds like a plan,” I grinned,

Harry laughed before almost dancing back into the bedroom, I stayed with the girls and changed them so they were all clean, Harry then reappeared conveniently afterward,

“Shower’s free,” He announced, looking up at him, I smiled. His cheeks were a little pink, green eyes full with happiness and dark curly locks shining with water droplets. His plain white t-shirt hugged his chest and jeans worn baggy over his legs. What made me smile though were the holes in his grey socks. They looked like they’d been chewed by hungry mice,

“They’re all done,” I said as he took Jaime from my arms,

“Should I take them downstairs?” He asked,
