   Beep

   What they hell was that annoying noise? I breathed heavily, in through my nose. Out through my nose. Where was I? Why couldn’t I move?

   I tried to pick up my leg. Move my arms. Open my eyes. Nothing, I felt like I was paralysed and nothing but my brain worked,

   Beep

   It was that bloody annoying noise again. All of a sudden, I felt drowsy, my mind fogged up with a grey cloud and once again, I found myself sinking into oblivion…

   Beep

   Mentally I screamed. Physically, I jolted. My whole body went into spasm and forced itself upwards and my eyes popped open and I began to frantically cough.

   As soon as my eyes were open I knew where I was. Back in that hospital room. It was gleaming white with bright lights that always seemed to blind you,

   But that wasn’t my main problem that second. As I coughed, blood spewed from my mouth and onto the white sheets that lay on top of me,

   Someone beside me touched my shoulder gently before screaming out for help. I couldn’t breathe. Black spots blocked my vision, blinding me. Waves crashed inside my mind, deafening me.

   Hands pressed on my shoulders and pulled me to my side laying me down. Something pressed into my arm…

   Beep

   Bloodyhell! This time, I pulled open my sticking eyes and roped in the stringy cold air. It was heaven in my lungs. Complete and utter heaven,

   A nurse came bundling in with a whacking great smile on her face, “I’m glad to see you awake, Miss Beau,” She grinned, “How are you feeling?”

   I nodded, “Tired,” I breathed trying to move, I flinched, “Sore,”

   “Aah,” The nurse softly pushed me back onto the covers, “It’s best not to move right now. You’re a bit bruised, and mind your broken wrist, we’ve plastered it but it will still be painful if you move it,” She smiled again, “Do you need anything?”

   “Water, would be good,” I said with an exaggerated raspy voice,

   She nodded, “Of course, I’ll be right back,” As she left the room, I wondered, what happened? What…?

   A few minutes later, she returned with a male doctor by her side, “Miss Beau, this is Doctor Moore, he’s here to assess you and run a few tests. Are you feeling up to it?” She asked, I nodded and once they helped me to sit upright on the propped cushions and then handed me the water which I gulped down greedily,

   “Thank you,” I whispered as I gasped for air,
