Good Friend

I was a girl in school

Trying to maintain my cool

Looking for a friend

Who would stay with me till the end.

How foolish of me, to challenge God's unique creation,

Which, undoubtedly was me!

And then I see,

There in the shade of false glamour

Full of fake popularity and senseless humour...

Was this insecure nerd

Who wanted to go passed the heard.

Unaware of his own immature ways

He would study late

And proudly get an A.

But look at his simplicity!

The words of another person,

Made his A less than a B.

Dear old friend,

The one I did this to

Please tell me, what made you think so?

Is this how low you think of yourself?

Did the words from my mouth make so much sense?

Listen to me, the boy from my school,

Never in the future allow

The likes of me, to trouble you.

Let those words flow free

And never affect you

For deep down inside

We both know, that,

You are a pure soul.
