Chapter Eleven

redemption

"WHY do I have to go with them again?" I asked the multi-billionaire standing in front of me as I tied my shoelaces. Steve has given out orders and divided the team into groups, and unfortunately, I was given the duty of ensuring that the enhanced siblings will be out of our way and not cause any more problems.

"Well, it's Cap's orders," Tony answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Now, since when did you ever follow anyone's orders, especially one from Steve Rogers?" I asked, finally getting up and facing Tony.

Chuckling, he shook his head and patted my shoulder. "Sometimes we gotta listen to our elders, little prince."

I rolled my eyes, knowing that there was more to Tony's point. He's seriously never one to just step back and allow Steve to take control of the situation.

"You know what happened the last time I was around those enhanced siblings, right?"

Tony's grin dropped at that. He even let out a heavy sigh and gave my shoulder a squeeze.

"I know, little prince. And trust me, none of us wants you to go through the same thing again, but we need you there, okay? If there's anyone who can discuss humanity and forgiveness, it's you"

I know what he meant, and I know what Steve was hoping for me to do. Pietro and Wanda Maximoff are no villains, they are victims of consequences and past tragedies that controlled their logic and feelings, and Ultron took advantage of that.

And if there's anyone to who those two can relate, that would be me.

I have been used. I have been manipulated. Therefore I know, we know, I am the only one who can knock some sense into those two kids.

Steve then appears before us, wearing his suit much like the others. "You ready?" he asked, and just like Tony, his eyes that were looking at me showed concern. I sighed, then glanced at Tony who gave me a reassuring nod. It was like he was telling me that it would be okay, and who am I to doubt that? I have to trust him. I have to trust them. They're my teammates, after all.

"Yep, let's take asshole down."

It was hard to follow and keep my eyes on the twins when all I could hear from the intercoms were concerning comments and questions. We're on a chase right now, Steve chasing Ultron, Nat and Clint chasing the body Ultron wants to use to evolve, and me chasing the twins who by the looks of it, are chasing Ultron too. This is truly a confusing situation, but I need to stick to the orders given to me, and that means doing my best to follow an enhanced kid who is too fast for a stolen motorbike to catch up on.

I then noticed a ramp on the side, and with enough speed and balance, I knew I'll be able to jump and land on the roof of the moving train. Will it be dangerous? Sure. Will it cause property damage? Absolutely.

"Hey, I'm gonna fly," I said on the intercom, not caring who was listening.

I heard a confused what from Steve before I finally set the motorbike flying. I braced myself, using all the flexibility my body had to land perfectly and safely on top of the moving train.

"Well, that worked."

I immediately found a way to get inside the train, hearing Ultron's voice.

"Please, don't do this," I heard Ultron say as I busted through the open cart door, landing perfectly beside my favorite murder bot. My eyes widen at such realization, I mean come on among all the places I could land on, it has to be the guy who wished to kill us.
