⤷ chapter thirty-six

jungkook was currently at his apartment, trying on his suit and styling his hair. his mind racing back towards the night he spent with taehyung when the male asked him to prom. it was a magical night, they both went swimming, had dinner on the beach, made love. it was the best night and it made jungkook feel so happy that he gets to spend his last prom with taehyung. 

his last school moments with the brunette who has made him so happy. their graduation is tomorrow and the raven could not help but to eye his graduation outfit that was in the closet, his fingers brushing over the material. 

taehyung on the other hand had finished getting ready, he was walking to his car on his way to pick up jungkook. he was nervous, he was not hugely into prom, but only decided to go this year because he knew jungkook wanted to go. 

and jungkook was the only person he would go with. he drove through the streets, hand tapping the steering wheel as he listened to the radio. when he pulled in front of jungkook's apartment he gulped, his nerves kicking in. 

he wiped his palm's on his pants before he got out the car, he let out a shaky sigh before knocking at the door. he waited a little until the door opened and all his nerves vanished when his eyes laid upon his handsome boyfriend. 

"you look beautiful kook" taehyung whispered, his eyes going to the bracelet he got jungkook that was wrapped around his wrist. he softly grabbed his hand and lifted it up to him lips as he pecks the back of the hand. 

"you ready to go my love" taehyung asked, watching as the blushing jungkook nodded and grabbed his phone before they both left the apartment. the brunette walked over to the car door and opened it for his boyfriend. 

jungkook giggled at the males cuteness and got inside the car. taehyung shut the door and walked towards the drivers seat. his hand placed on jungkook's thigh as he drove to the school, jungkook staring at the night starry sky. 

"you feeling nervous?" taehyung asked, side eyeing jungkook who nodded. his hand on taehyung's hand. 

"a little, I just want to have fun tonight. go to school tomorrow and graduate and leave the school to feel free" the raven whispered, large smile across his face as he thinks about walking out the school tomorrow. 

taehyung also was ready to walk out of school, he was not sure on what he was going to do but he has jungkook. he is happy, in love, feels truly cared for. that is all he could of wanted.

"you guys look amazing! even more so together" jimin said, pulling them both into a hug. 

"you both look handsome" jungkook said, looking at jimin and yoongi who had their arms wrapped around each other. the raven looked around the large decorated field. he liked that prom was not in a small hall-room. his eyes landed on the platform for dancing that was in the middle of the field. 

student's dancing with their partners and some drinking, eating and talking. the raven thought everyone looked so cool, its was nice to see people having fun and minding their business.

"this is my song!" jimin yelled, arms in the air as he drags yoongi to the dance floor. 

"will you like to join me for a dance" taehyung whispered, his hand placed out in front of him. ready for jungkook to grab. the raven smiled and did so, walking alongside taehyung towards the dance floor. 

"take my hand, take a breath" as the song was playing and they reached the dance floor, taehyung held onto his head.

"pull me close and take one step" taehyung pulled him close then stepped back.

"keep your eyes locked on mine" both their eyes never leaving each other, it was like it was just them in the room.

"and let the music be your guide." jungkook placed one hand on taehyung's shoulder while the other was still intertwined with the brunette's. the brunette had his hand on the raven's waist, holding him tight.

"won't you promise me "

"we'll keep dancing wherever we go next"

"It's like catching lightning the chances of finding someone like you
It's one in a million, the chances of feeling the way we do" they both slowly moved back and forward. not realising the students had circled around, watching as the couple slow danced.

"and with every step together, we just keep on getting better"

"so can I have this dance, can I have this dance"

"take my hand, I'll take the lead
and every turn will be safe with me
don't be afraid, afraid to fall"

"you know I'll catch you threw it all"  the same lyric repeating over and over again for the both of them as they slowed dance. jungkook smiled when he felt taehyung slowly peck his lips when the song ended. 

they both looked around and flinch slightly when they saw everyone looking at them.
