"can I be honest, the only highlight of prom was dancing with taehyung. drinking, then all of us dancing together" jungkook called out from his bedroom, jimin on the other side of the door as he chuckled. 

"I agree with that, I am just glad there was no drama" the raven heard his bestfriend say, jungkook had just finished doing his hair as he grabs his phone and walked out the room. 

jimin gasped as soon as he saw his bestfriend in the graduation suit. "you look stunning kook" jimin said, walking over to the table to grab the hat and placed it over his hair. 

"you do too. is your mum coming?" jungkook asked, receiving a nod from the smaller who smiled. 

"yup she has her sign all ready, your mum coming and bringing a sign?" jimin asked

"yeah I think so" jungkook replied, looking in the mirror to make sure he looked decent. 

whenever a senior graduates from school their parents or guardians bring a sign with their name on it and whenever your name is called to receive the certificate your parents stand up in the crowd and they are the only ones who are allowed to cheer for you. 

jungkook always dreamed of being able to walk across that stage and have his mum cheering for him. 

"we should get going, it start's soon" jungkook sighed and quickly grabbed his things before they both walked out the door. they both got into separate cars and drove towards the school. by the time they got there, lots of student's in graduation uniforms were taking selfies and pictures in groups. 

students walking into school, he parked his car next to jimin's and grabbed something from the backseat before following jimin inside the school. "aw did you get taehyung a gift basket?" jimin gasped, linking his arm with jungkook. 

"yeah, I got his favourite perfume, chocolates, lollies, his favourite drink, basically his favourite things to eat" jungkook smiled, as they walked down the hallway.  heading towards the hall, where the graduation was being held. 

when they entered they looked around and smiled when they saw their group of friends. jungkook's eyes shined when he saw taehyung, holding a bouquet of the most gorgeous flowers. as they walked towards each other, they both chuckled when they noticed they got each other gifts. 

"you did not have to-" they both said at the same time causing them both to laugh. after they switched gifts and found their seats, taehyung placed his hand on jungkook's thigh as they waited for the principal to speak. 

"you look beautiful in this my love" taehyung whispered in his ear, chuckling when jungkook got all shy. 

"thank you for my gifts, I love it" he said afterwards, squeezing jungkook's hand. 

"thank you for yours. I love you tae" jungkook said, looking at taehyung who placed a soft peck on his lips. 

"I love you too" he whispered back, against his lips. as soon as they heard the principal tap the mic all the students became quiet. lots of parents standing behind all the students. taehyung looked around trying to see if his parents were here but he could no seem them. 

as students started getting onto the stage and family members screaming, and seeing the students face light up when they saw their parents made taehyung feel sad. as soon as it was their classes turn he started to feel anxious, this was meant to be a huge moment for him and his parents could not even show up. 

"jeon jungkook" the principal called, jungkook stood up and walked towards the stage. when he walked across all of a sudden a loud "that is my baby!" was heard from the back, the students all turned around to see ms jeon holding. a sign in the air. 

jungkook blushed in embarrassment as he waved towards his mother and walked across the stage. ms jeon taking lots of pictures. 

"kim taehyung" the next student was called, and the brunette sighed. he walked towards the stage and his heart feeling empty as he waited for a nod from the principal to tell him to walk. and when he eventually got that nod and walked across the stage it was silent, until... 

"that is my other baby! I am so proud of you taehyung!" taehyung's eyes widened when he heard ms jeon's voice. he turned around to look at the crowd to see "I AM PROUD OF YOU" written on the sign. 

and soon his closest friends all stood up with signs, cheering him on. 

"I LOVE YOU!" jungkook yelled, causing the students to 'aw' as taehyung felt his heart flutter. he may not have his parents but he is so thankful for the family he does have. 

he shook the principal's hand as he accepted his graduate certificate and walked off the stage, heading back towards his seat. "you did not have to do that" taehyung whispered in jungkook's ear. the raven looked at him with a soft smile "it was mum's idea, she cares for you tae. I know your parents are not the best but my mum is here for you, she wants you to lean on her if you need. she loves you tae" jungkook whispered, frowning when a tear slipped from the males cheek. 

"thank you for everything" taehyung whispered, looking at his boyfriend who smiled. 

"me and you against the world" jungkook replied, slowly pecking his lips.
