It had been nearly two weeks of no word from Yok and it was causing Akk so much stress. He had finally gotten Yok back into his life and then he vanished again. It hurt Akk to his core. He didn’t know where he could find Yok. He had tried to text and call him but Yok didn’t answer.
“Akk I’m sure he’s okay. He might need space after that phone call.” Khan said.
Akk shrugged and didn’t respond to Khan.
“I think he’ll come back soon,” Namo said.
“Yeah, there’s no way he’s going to leave again,” Wat said through a mouthful of food.
“What if he realized how terrible I am and he no longer wants to be near me?” Akk asked.
He jumped a bit when Khan flicked his forehead.
“Everything you’ve told us makes it hard to believe Yok would just ditch you,” Khan said.
Before Akk could respond there was a quiet knock on the door. He looked at the other three in confusion. Ayan and Thua were at work and none of the others invited somebody over.
Akk got up and went to the door. He was shocked to see Yok when he opened the door. He kinda froze when seeing Yok. Yok just stared at him waiting for a response.
“Is now a bad time or…” Yok questioned.
“Well I have some friends over but I don’t think they’d mind if you joined us…” Akk mumbled before letting Yok walk into his room.
Yok couldn’t help but feel a bit awkward when all of Akk’s friends just staring at him. He didn’t really know what to say so he just waited for Akk to say something. Yok had never been good at interacting with new people.
“Guys this is Yok. Yok these are my friends Khan Wat and Namo.” Akk said.
“Told you he wasn’t going to ditch you,” Khan said before getting shoved off the bed.
Yok was a bit confused. He didn’t think he had done anything that would’ve caused Akk to think like that. He couldn’t help but feel angry at himself despite not knowing what he had done. He couldn’t help but mentally berate himself for being so stupid and inconsiderate.
“What… What did I do?” Yok asked after a long tense moment of silence.
“It’s nothing.” Akk rushed out.
“He thought you were going to ditch him because you stopped contacting him for like two weeks now,” Namo said.
“Namo!!!” Wat screeched.
Yok sighed to himself before hitting his head. He should’ve known that’s what it was. He felt so guilty. It wasn’t his intention to stop texting Akk. He never meant for Akk to feel that way. Yok just wanted to numb his pain in the only ways he knew how.
