[At Aki's apartment]

*RING* *RING* *RING*

That same, annoying and loud alarm clock rang. A groan was heard across the room, waking the other up.

Aki: Ranpo, it's time to get up.

Ranpo: (Quietly) Hnnnn, no.

They both obviously weren't on the same bed, because Ranpo hates sleeping beside someone.

Aki was on the bed, while Ranpo was just on the bed-floor.

Aki: You know, we have to be prepared for anything to happen. Waking up early is a part of the Devil Hunter's job.

Ranpo: Yup, didn't know that.

With a loud yawn escaping Ranpo's mouth, he stretches and clutches onto Aki's blankets because he was to lazy to stand up without support.

As Aki and Ranpo were opening the door, something triggered their every right to scream like a girl getting jumpscared during Halloween.

Aki/Ranpo: *inhale* EEEEEEEEEEEEE-

Ranpo was now with a lot of new people from Aki's diversion.

Big man, eyepatch woman and timid girl were there.

Big man: Hayakawa-san, are you sure it's okay to have them with us? One's a fiend, the other is a weird-looking punk and...

The big man gasps, and immediately runs over to Ranpo, holding up his hands as he kneels down.

Arai: E-E-E-E-EDOGAWA RANPO!? I'M ARAI, NICE TO MEET YOU!! THIS IS A PLEASURE, no...AN HONOR!

Ranpo: Hehe, yes! It's me, the world's greatest detecti-

Himeno: Oh, you're Ranpo Edogawa? Hah! To think you'd join the Devil Hunters! Nice to meet yo. I'm Himeno. This girl over here is Kobeni.

Ranpo: Noice.

Aki was still quiet, looking grumpy.

Power: Oi, oi! What's with the mood, human!?

Aki: Tch.

Denji: Don't tell me...

Power: Heh, you're still mad at that prank!?

Everyone looked at the three, wondering what's going on.

Aki: THAT WASN'T A PRANK, I'LL KILL YOU!

Ranpo: Count me in!

Power: The human made me do it!

Denji: Haah!? I was asleep all night!

Ranpo: Can I switch bedrooms-

Power: I did it the night before!

Denji: Why do you keep blaming me-!?

Ranpo: You both literally had a bucket of water prepared up in the ceiling, we just woke up that time you know! What's the big idea!?

With swift movement, no one could predict it happening. As the trio were off guard, Aki pulls out.

3 pieces off chewing gum.

*SNATCH*

Denji: Mr.Hayakawa.

Power: Hayakawa-sir.

Ranpo: Hey, they literally made us wake up in cold water and you want to praise them with gum!?

Aki: I figured you weren't interested in bubblegum. Here.
