She doesn't know why she woke up.
She just knows that she climbed out of her crib without thumping into the floor like many times before and was now walking down the empty hallways of the Styles household, her bunny tucked underneath her arm and a pacifier in her mouth.
All two year old River knows is that she was in the mood for a daddy cuddle and she was going to get one.
Harry's bedroom door was open slightly, and so she slowly opened the bedroom door, her green eyes falling onto her father who was fast asleep on his bed, duvet resting around his waist, his mouth open slightly as soft snores emitted from them, his hair still drying from the shower he had taken before he slipped into a blissful slumber.
"Dada!"River spoke, pulling the pacifier out from her mouth as she addressed the sleeping man.
Harry didn't budge, still fast asleep.
So she decided to do what any sane person would do.
She threw Harry the bunny straight at his head, the bunny ears hitting him in the face and startling the nineteen year old boy awake.
"What the Fuck?!"Harry gasped, looking around the room, eyes wide as he tried to figure out what the hell had happened.
"That's a no no word"
Harry let out a small shriek when he heard his daughter voice, his green eyes landing on her petit figure, his hand pressed to his chest to try and calm his heart rate down.
"Oh hey, pickle, what're you doing awake?"Harry asked, running a hand through his damp hair.
River raised her arms up in the air, indicating that she wanted to be picked up. "— dada, snuggles?"
"Oh you want snuggles?"Harry mused, reaching down to pick the two year old, resting him on his bare chest.
"Snuggles"River clarified, resting her head against his rib cage, the sound of his beating heart making her even more tired than she already was.
