"Uncle Mitch?"River asked, leaning forward and offering her uncle an innocent smile, her gapped teeth on show.
"Yeah, little one?"the older man asked, picking up some of the chocolate wrappers.
River slowly pointed to the box of chocolates that were on his lap. "—Um..could I um...possibly have another one?"
Why did she ask for another one when she had a blossoming head ache anyway?
She'll never know.
What she didn't know was that Harry was stood in the threshold of the door, a smirk on his face and arms crossed over his chest as he listened in on the conversation between his best-friends.
"Oh, I'm not sure, do you deserve to have another chocolate, how many have you had now?"Mitch quizzed, an eyebrows raised.
"Only two!"
"More like seven!"
River huffed, and crossed her arms over her chest, as she pouted at the man. "Please Uncle Mitch, I've want another!"
Harry decided to make his presence known and appeared walking through the door, smiling as he sat down on the sofa next to his sweet girl.
"Daddy! Tell uncle Mitch that I want another chocolate!"River complained as she shifted on her knees to look at her father, eyes wide.
"Pickle, it's would like, not want, use your manners please, and how many have you had?"Harry parented, wiping some chocolate from the corner of her mouth.
"Only two! I promise"
Harry directed his attention to his mate. "—How many chocolates has she actually had?"
"I lost count but it's somewhere near seven"Mitch replied, running a hand through his hair as he pressed the lid onto the box of chocolate.
"No daddy! He's lying!"River whined, throwing her head back whilst simultaneously shaking it.
Harry pressed his lips into a line. "Hey pickle, we don't call people liars, that's not very nice of you is it?"
"But daddy! I want another chocolate..."She continued to whine, her pout more and more evident.
