Three year old river was held on her fathers hip, gazing straight ahead at the menu opposite her.
There was a variety of different drinks on the menu.
•milkshakes, •slushies, •iced coffee's
but one thing stood out the most to river, the picture of the hot chocolate.
It had whipped cream, marshmallows, a flake as well as hot chocolate powder.
It looked Devine.
Harry adjusted her on his hip, from where the two of them were stood at the front of the Starbucks line. "— is there anything calling your name, pickle?"
"Yeah"River nodded her head. "— hot coco!"
"You want a hot coco?"Harry quizzed.
Every single time that Harry had brought his daughter a hot chocolate, she never drank if, always being to immersed in the cake she and Harry had gotten to share, and during that time the drink always went cold.
"Are you going to drink it all if I get it for you?"He asked, giving the three year old a knowing look.
"Yes, daddy, I promise!"she lifted up her fathers ringed hand and interlocked her pinky with his, before pressing a kiss to the top of them.
Now that she had pinky promised him, he had to get her one?
Right?
"Your one hundred percent sure?"
"Yes daddy, I pinky promised you, didn't I?"
Harry chuckled slightly before looking straight ahead at the w barrister behind the counter, who was smiling at the twenty year old man. "— can I please get a children's hot chocolate, and a large green tea?"
"Of course, and is the hot chocolate with all the toppings?"The barrister mused, writing down on the plastic cups.
"Yes please"River answered for herself, miming proudly.
The barrister nodded. "— and is there a name you would like me to call out for when the order's complete?"
