"What will help you go to sleep, pickle?"Harry asked urgently as he rocked the almost two year old in his arms, stood by the bunks of the tour bus, whilst the four other boys were in the living area.
It was getting closer to her afternoon nap time, and so far she had refused to go down, tears continuously rolling down her cheeks as she tried to wiggle out of her fathers arms.
Harry sighed, patting her pyjama clad back as he rocked his body side to side to try and soother her and lull her into a slumber. "— what will calm you down? Daddy hates to see you cry...."
And then an idea hit him.
"Would you like daddy to sing to you? Will that be okay?"he asked, green eyes looking down at her ones as she sucked on the pacifier in her mouth.
River didn't answer, still trying to wiggle out of Harry's arms to try and go back to playing with her building blocks. "— nwo sweep!"
"You have to go to sleep Riv, otherwise you'll be tired later and we don't want that do we?"he urged, his hips still rocking.
When she didn't respond, he glanced down to see her eyes boring into his, her brown hair framed around her face.
"Isn't she lovely" he sang, running his hand up and down her back. "— isn't she wonderful"
River brought her hand up to play with the necklace that was around her father's neck, her cries silencing. "— isn't she precious"
"Less than one minute old"
His voice was soft, and his voice was slowly pulling his sweet girl into a slumber, due to the fact that when he glanced down he saw her eyes growing heavier and heavier as the seconds past.
"I never thought with love we'd be, making one as lovely as she..."
Her eyes had completely fallen shut now, soft breaths fanning around the light blue pacifier in her mouth.
