CH: 9 It wasn't a dream
(Celeste POV)
It was morning. I could tell it was very cold outside because I could feel the bit of coldness that snuck inside the cabin.
I'm going to have to turn on the heater.
I lay in bed, letting everything that had happened settle in.
I didn't know what else to say; everything that happened yesterday shocked me.
The fact that I could feel comfortable around him also took me off guard because it was not something I was expecting.
I was unsure if this would be good, but he hasn't done anything to me. I could let my guard down. He's reassured me countless times already that he was not going to hurt me and that he's not going to do anything to me.
Also, if he were going to do it, he would have done it before with all the opportunities he's had where he was able to do it.
I'm really going to be with him for the whole month.
Wow, after everything that happened. I was planning on being in this cabin alone. What a turn of events.
I got out the bed and stretched. The bed is comfortable, and the cabin owners did a great job ensuring that the cabin was well stocked up for me. Of course, I paid extra for that but having them go out of their way to do that was also lovely.
I looked around the bedroom, ensuring nothing had been moved or changed.
When I realized everything was the same as last night, I went to the bedroom bathroom to shower and prepare for the day.
I would like to know what I will do today. I could read a book or binge a series.
After finishing my shower, I got dressed and left the bedroom.
I made my way downstairs to find Ji-Cheol in the kitchen. He looked like he was cooking.
"Making breakfast?" I asked.
He turned around to stare at me, there was a weird look on his face, but he seemed to brush it off and spoke.
"Yes, good morning. How did you sleep?" He asked me. When he turned around fully, I noticed he was also wearing an apron.
"I slept well; how did you sleep?" I asked him.
"I slept great, thanks for asking. I decided to make us both breakfast. Turkey bacon, eggs, and pancake sound good to you?" He asked.
"Yeah, sounds good. Do you need any help?" I asked him; he shook his head.
"No, I'm good. You can relax and do whatever you want. I'll let you know when the food is done." He said, turning back around.
"You must enjoy cooking," I said as I walked towards the island to sit down.
"Yes, I do. It relaxes me." He said.
"Hmm, I enjoy cooking, but I never thought of it as relaxing. That's a different way of seeing it, though.
He chuckled and flipped a pancake.
"I am a little weird." He said in a joking voice.
"We're all weird in our way. I should probably reach out to my best friend to let her know I got here safe, I'm not going to say anything to her about you, but it would be best to let her know I am okay before she starts freaking out." I said to him.
Ji-Cheol turned around and nodded his head.
"That's understandable; you can call her if you want. I don't have the blocker on." He said.
