Clara's POV-

"I'm not wearing those boots and I'm not going to hat rodeo with you." I say sternly.

"Come on, it's going to be fun and there are going to be cute cowboys." Anna says.

"No I can't come because I have finals next week and I have to study."

"You have been studying for two weeks and you have to see this barrel racer, she is only 17 years old and she is already ranked in state."

"How can a girl that young be that good already?" I say astonished.

"I heard she has a bull rider for a brother and she travels with him to the rodeos and competes against really good barrel racers and they give her tips and help her." my roommate says.

"Fine just to see this barrel racer and nothing else, okay." I knuckled under like always.

"Yes, this is going to be so much fun." she screeches.

We left about thirty minutes later and we had on hour drive to the rodeo.

We got to the rodeo and we paid and parked. When we got out Anna yelled someone's name and she ran away from me. She disappeared. I started walking and Anna reappeared with a guy in a cowboy hat.

"Clara, this is Jack, Jack this is Clara." Anna says politely.

"Nice to meet you Clara." Jack says with a thick southern drawl.

"Nice to meet you too." I say smiling at him.

" I heard you wanted to see my little cousin barrel race today."

"Yes I do want to watch her race because I heard she was really young but good."

"She is young but very good at what she does." he says still smiling.

"Well I haven't been told her name yet because Anna said I would know when I saw her." I say a little frustrated.

"Well her name is Jo Zeidler and now you guys can watch from the chutes because I am sure she would like to meet you. You might to meet Jason, her brother too."

Before we went over to the chutes, Jack wanted to bring us back to his cousins trailer. As we walked back to her trailer I see several men in chaps, cowboy hats and boots. We stop walking when we get to a red horse trailer and a gray truck.

"Hey Jason you here!" Jack yells.

"Yeah, hold on I am getting my boots on!" he yells back.

A man with messy blonde hair walks out of the side of the trailer.

"Hey is your sister here because these ladies want to meet her." Jack asks.

"She'll be back soon with Echo, she went to warm him up because she is running two horses tonight." he says raking his eyes over me slowly.
