To The Moon and Back

Hey guys I cried just thinking about this chapter. This picture makes me cry even more.

Clare's POV-

(Two Months Later)

"Jason are ready to go to the barn!!!!" I yell upstairs.

We've basically been living together since he told me he was being deployed. He's been helping me train and run my horses. He took a great liking in Destiny and how her foal is doing. He says he wants the foal to be nice and strong for when he gets home so he can bond with it.

"Yeah I'm ready to go check on my favorite blonde." he smiles while running down the stairs like a little kid.

"Before you leave the house, did you forget something?" I say with my hands on my hips.

He turns around with one of his boots half way on. He drops the boot and walks over to me. Grabbing my face in his hands, he kisses me. He pulls away and rest his forehead against mine.

"I'm happy you reminded me. Now I have to go check and heavily pregnant mare." he kisses the tip of my nose and continues to put his boots on his feet.

"Don't take Rocky to get the cows yet. I am having the vet come out to check on all of them, so they need to go to the chute not the barn." I grab my cup of coffee off the counter and take a sip.

"Okay I'll see you in a little bit." Jason walks out of the house and to the barn.

I look at the calendar and realize it's his last day here. Tomorrow we have to go to the airport and i have to watch him leave. Tears start to slide down my cheeks and fall onto the counter. I go through all the memories we made these past two months.

Flashback 

"Clare we should go for a trail ride today." Jason whines like a child.

"We will just let me finish this paper work for my next rodeo."  I kiss his cheek and sit at my desk.

He walks out of my office and into the barn. I finish filling out the packet and my vet papers two hours later. I walk out and see my bay gelding Max saddled and my buckskin mare Star saddled. Jason is standing in between them holding their reins smiling at me. I walk up to him smiling and kiss his lips.

"You must really want to go on that trail ride if you saddled up the horses while I was working." I grab Max from him and start walking towards the exit of the barn.

We get on the horses and he leads me down a trail. After about an hour of riding he stops us at a clearing and gets off and helps me down. We walk farther until I see a blanket in the middle of the clearing with a picnic on it.

"Jason you had this planned all day didn't you?" I can't stop smiling as I go up to him and kiss him.

"Yeah I wanted today for you and me. I got my sister to take care of the animals and vet for today." he smiles back at me.

Flashback Over

That is one of my favorite memories from these past two months. I walk out of the house still crying and into the barn looking for Jason. I find him and when he sees me crying he knows exactly why I'm crying. He hugs and hold me for what feels like forever.

"I-I can't l-lose y-you." I cry into his shoulder.

"You're not going to lose me, I'll only be gone for a little while, then I'll be back and we will be together." he holds my face with his forehead resting against mine.

"You'll still be gone though." I look at him.

"Let's go in the house and spend the rest of the day together.My family said I could spend the rest of the day with you. So let's go inside and watch a movie and cuddle." he picks me up bridal style and carries me to the house, up to my room.

He sets my down on the bed and crawls in next to me. We watch 'The Notebook' and every other soppy movie I have.

"Clare look at me I have something to ell you." he looks at me nervously.

"What is it?" I grab his hand and rub his knuckles.

"I'm leaving tomorrow and I want you to know to wait for me until I get home. Clare I love you and I wanted you to know before I left__" I cut him off by kissing him and when I pull away to catch my breath I whisper.

"I love you too Jason and I will wait for you." I kiss him again and he rolls until he's laying on top of me.

He pulls away and stares at me asking for permission. I nod and he continues to show how much he loves me. That night was full of love and want. It wasn't rough or fast but slow and passionate, showing how much we love each other.

Next day at the Airport

I watch had Jo and her family say their goodbyes to Jason. When they're done, Jason turns to me with tears in his eyes. I'm crying and can't stop while I hug him.

"I love you so much. Remember that while I'm gone and that I'll be back." he wipes the tears from under my eyes.

"I love you too, please come home to me safe." the tears come out faster now.

"I will and I can't wait to see your beautiful face when I get back." he kisses me with all the love and passion he has in him.

We finally pull apart and hug each other tight until over the speaker calls for his plane.

"I love you so much." he kisses my forehead and turns away from me.

As he walks towards he terminal my knees buckle but Jo is right behind me to catch me. We both fall to the floor crying. Jo drives me home and stays with me. Jason left a couple of his shirts for me.

I'm laying in bed with my face buried in one of his shirts crying.

"God please bring him home safe to me, please you have to bring him to me. I love him so much."
