Here's the stud and mare from the last chapter. The palomino is the mare Destiny and the red roan is the stud. I'll be posting what the foal should look like.
Jason POV-
"I'm being deployed in two months"
Is all I say and her eyes widen with shock and disbelief. Soon the tears start to well up in her eyes. Walks over quickly to me and throws her arms around my neck. I hug back tightly, not wanting to let go of her.
"No you can't, I just got you I can't lose you again." she sobs into my shoulder, holding me tighter.
"You aren't going to lose me, I'm going to be coming back." I whisper into her shoulder.
We stay there for what feels like hours. I'm whisper sweet nothings into her ear. Her sobs quiet and her breathing slows and I can tell she's sleeping. I carry her up to her bedroom and lay her under the blankets. Looking down at her she is so peaceful and beautiful. I kiss her forehead and get dressed and walk out of the room. I head to the deck and sit on the couch watching the dog running around chasing birds. I whistle and he comes running.
"Hey big guy, you've lived with her for awhile, do you think she going to survive the two years I'll be gone?" I can't believe I'm talking to a dog.
He looks at me with what almost looks like understanding. I pet him and look out at the field wondering if I'll get to see this place again, specifically with her next to me. I turn and walk to the barn, I want to see why she wants to spend so much time on this mare and foal. I remember saying Destiny and I see she has the stalls labelled. Finding the her stall, I find a light palomino mare with a huge belly. She's about 15 hands, she comes up to the stall window and nuzzles my hand looking for treat.
"Sorry gorgeous I don't have any treats, just came to see why she is so excited. From just looking at you I can see why. Now where is that stallion of yours?" I scratch the side of her face and she leans into my hand.
I walk done the isle looking for the name tag Freightliner. I stop at the stall and find a stallion about the same going down for a roll. I laugh to myself as I watch him flip from side to side. When he gets back up he walks right over to his food and starts eating. He's a beautiful red roan and when he turned his side to me I see and palomino spot and a black spot on is side. He's completely ignoring me because he's to concentrated on his food. He walks over to his water and start to play with it instead of drinking it. He's slapping his lips together and pushing the water around like a little yearling. I laugh and he looks at me questioningly.
"Come here Fatty." I chuckle at he walks over to me. He sneezes and get water all over me.
"Thanks for that, by the way." I look at him and I swear if he could laugh he would right now.
I see why she's excited for this foal because by the looks of these two he's made some good off spring. I pet and turn around to Clare standing there staring at me.
"You two look like you get along well." she says while walking over to his stall and kissing his nose.
"Yeah and how old is he?" I look at her is her jeans, random t-shirt and boots.
"He's 7 years but he acts like he's still a baby." she stares at him with love.

"Now I see why you care so much about how she's doing. She's gorgeous and the stud is great looking. It's going to be beautiful baby." I hug her from behind and she leans into my chest.
"Yeah and I don't want to spend time away from you. I over reacted when you said you didn't want me to spend time with her." she turned around and put her arms around my neck.
"Why don't we go inside and lay in bed and watch movies the rest of the day." I wiggle my eyebrows to show her there's a different meaning behind what I mean.
"Okay but at three I have a new horse coming in and I need to see how she is when she gets here. My brother is bringing her and the the last time I told him to put a new horse away he forgot to lock the stall door." she smiles and takes my hand pulling me towards the house.
Yeah we didn't get out of bed until 5 minutes before three.
