Baby Shopping

Are you guys happy Jason is back? I was so happy while typing that chapter. Does you guys think the baby is going to be a boy or a girl?

Jason's POV-

I wake up and snuggle more into my pillow. I realize my pillow is abnormally warm, I slowly open my eyes and see Clare's sleeping face. She is so beautiful, I'm so happy to be home with my two baby girls. I laugh to myself at how Clare thinks its going to be a boy. I'll be happy either way. 

I slowly slide down the bed and lay between her legs with my hands on her stomach. I kiss her stomach and the baby kicks. I smile and run her stomach more. Clare stirs a little bit but falls back into her sleep.

"Hey baby girl, have you and mama been doing good? I missed her so much. I'm so happy that I came back and your here." I whisper and kiss her stomach again.

Clare stirs again and I look up to see her staring back at me with tears in her eyes.

"That was adorable and I wish we could stay in bed, but we have to go shopping for baby stuff." she plays with my hair when I come to lay next to her.

Clare's POV-

"Okay how about we hit the shower?" he wiggles his eyebrows.

I laugh and attempt to stand up on my own, but I struggle and Jason comes up in front of me to help. I waddle to the bathroom. I strip out of my pajamas and get into the warm shower, letting the hot water relax my muscles. I feel a pair of arms wrap around my stomach. Jason sets his head on my shoulder.

"Jason what are you doing?" I lean back into his chest .

"I'm taking care of you and the baby." he let's go of me and gets the shampoo.

He squirts some into his hand and starts massaging it into my scalp. I close my eyes and he starts massaging my shoulder. Soon we get out of the shower and get ready for shopping and I remember that I have to show Jason his colt.

"Jason we have to go to the barn before we leave." I drink my daily orange juice.

"Okay but no riding, that's off limits until you have the baby." he playfully glares at me.

"I was light riding until I was 5 months, I think I still feel like I can ride still." I smirk at him, he looks at me like I'm crazy.

"I'm just kidding, I can't even get out of bed by myself, you think I can get on a horse?"

"No but lets go I want to spend as much time on you and the baby today." he smiles and holds the door open for me.

We walk to the barn and as we walk in I stop him.

"Remember your colt you wanted." he nods. "Well about a week after you left Destiny went into labor and gave birth to a colt. I named him Lieutenant's Pride but we call him Pride." I open the stall window and Destiny pops her head out of the door. Pride is finally tall enough to put his head through the window.

Jason's eyes go wide and I can see the joy in then. He goes up to Pride and scratches his neck.

"He's just how I wanted him, his name is perfect." he stands up and hugs me.

"We should probably get going. We have to go get stuff for the nursery and baby clothes." he smiles and nods.

Taking my hand we walk to the truck and he helps me get in and buckle up. We get to the mall and head to the closest baby store. I head to the neutral rack and start looking at the newborn clothes. I turn around and see Jason looking at the girl clothes. I walk over to him and wrap an arm around his.

"Come look at the neutral clothes with me. I want your opinion." I tug on his arm.

"Okay but we are buying some girl clothes." he wraps his arm around my waist.

After looking and buying for 3 hours. Jason carries all the bags of clothes and baby stuff to the truck as I walk behind him. He drove us home and carried everything up to the room we chose for the nursery.

"Jason I'm gonna take a nap." I yell down the hall.

"Okay I'll be up in a minute."

I change into more comfortable clothes and crawl into bed. I start to drift off when I feel someone grab my foot and start to massage it. I keep my eyes closed and act like I'm sleeping.

"I know you can't hear me, but I just want to tell how much I love you. When I was gone all I could think about was coming home to you. Now that I have you and the baby everything is better. I was told that I will most likely be deployed again. There's no telling when it will be but I will spend as much time with you as possible." I hear him sigh and climb up next to me.

He pulls my side to his chest and wraps his arm around me stomach. I turn onto my side with my back to his chest. He nuzzles closer to me and buries his face in my hair and breathes deep.

"I love you baby." his breathing slows and he relaxes. Soon I drift off to sleep.
