midnight rain

The sunrise was always was her favorite thing, but rain was better than a sunrise. It was a reset. While the sun was what came after the rain, it gave a sense of relief. Though rain, rain was a thing made everything wash away and become renewed. It was a type of thing that made Phoenix gush, and feel something, the rain brought her joy.

It made her feel safe, comfortable. The brunette had always thought of rain being something that the gods would deliver to tell her everything would work out perfectly, that everything would be perfectly fine, that she would h perfectly fine.

Rain beat against the window, the sound was faint, being drowned out by the type writer. The blonde girl no where to be found inside the dorm, leaving the two Addams sisters to inhabit the room.

Phoenix had always been described as a bright star, she had always been the brighter one between the two.

The soft sound of a click from the door echoed in the dormitory, "What did you do to my room!" Enid cried as she closed the door staring at the window where Phoenix was taking the rest of the colored paper off of. "It still looks like a unicorn vomited on your side" Phoenix shrugged as Wednesday stood up walking towards the window she had worked on before her sister had taken over.

Phoenix rolled her eyes kicking the colored paper over standing and fixing her over sized band tshirt, reaching mid thigh hiding her shorts that she wore underneath. Pushing a few strands of hair from her face while staring at the window. "I agree" the black haired girl stated staring at the window listening to the blonde let out a small cry, her lips close together as she stared at the duck tape on the ground. "What are you two doing?" Enid questioned glaring at the dark haired girl, the brunette sliding back over to her bed. A book held in her hands. Lips in a tight line and her back against her bed.

Enid opened her mouth to speak while Wednesday walked away back towards her desk. "Quiet is greatly appreciated it's my writing time" she stated at she sat down looking back at the white paper. While the brunette in the corner only bit her lip to hide the smile that wanted to crawl onto her lips.

A soft click came from the blondes watch and pop music began to play echoing off the walls, this made Phoenix sit up the smile off her face and her hand out stretched, slowly the watch began to undo and fly into the air, closing her palm the watch broke falling to the ground in a pile of nothing.

"What the hell!" Enid cried as the pieces we're gently sat in her palm. Phoenix and Wednesday smirked before returning to what they were doing. The door softly opened an a women with firey red hair waltzed inside, a black flower in her hands and mud on her red boots. "Am I interrupting?" The women asked, earning nothing but silence from the room, none of them wanting to speak about what just happened.

"Well I'm sorry I couldn't greet you yesterday" she stated as she put a foot on each side of the tape on the ground. Wednesday and Phoenix both stood walking towards the women who smiled at the two before handing Wednesday a black flower. "Black Delilah" Wednesday mumbled as she messed with the petals. "Oh you're familiar with it?" The women questioned as Wednesday nodded turning it around to get a good look. "It's named after my favorite unsolved murder case".

Nodding with a grimace the red head smiled looking to the three of the girls who all stared back. "Well there's a few house rules. Lights off by ten, no loud music and now boys ever" she empathized the word ever as if they were going to be having boys over every night.

"Well goodnight" she mumbled before leaving the room, the three girls looked between each other before going to their sperate corners. Enid messily threw the pieces of her watch into the trash making Phoenix feel bad, normally she wouldn't of cared but It made her feel terrible. She was supposed to be the sun, and her sister the midnight sky, the type where you couldn't see the twinkling stars.

Carefully she pulled the ring from her pointer finger and held her hand out picking up the pieces twisting them around until the watch looked brand new.
