The soft clacks echoed in the stairwell from the girls platforms. Her hands in her pockets and her ear buds plugged into her ears music at full volume. Phoenix couldn't understand why she had been so upset over her nightmare, she had plenty of nightmares. She had always been raised to love them, rather than hate them.

Though she couldn't find herself loving them, only hating them as she couldn't sleep afterwards. Her hands gripped the side rail as she stepped into the stone floor her eyes meeting with Xavier's, her head leaned back a bit to meet his eyes, even with the platforms he still had quit some height against her.

Gently grasping her hand the brunette didn't speak a word as he slowly dragged the girl up down the hall, his eyes searching for any adults. Phoenix couldn't help the blood that rushed up her neck, heating her face up.

Xavier gently held a finger against his lips as he looked down at the girl who nodded. The two snuck past an old man trying to conceal their laughs as they quickly ran into the boys room. It was nothing like the girl ha imagined. He was living on his own now, Rowan's stuff had been cleared out and all that left was Xavier to be alone in the double bedded room.

Gently grasping the girls waist he pulled her down onto the bed beside himself, smiling sheepishly at the girl who sent him a small smile in return, her mind couldn't help it though. Her mind kept running back to her dream, the man and the girl. She was beyond confused and scared, because she had no clue what to expect.

"Wanna talk about it?" Xavier whispered softly as he pushed a strand of hair behind the girls ear. Gently shaking her head Phoenix handed the boy the other ear bud with a small smile as he gently plugged in the bud.

The girl slowly leaned up so she was sitting and untied the platforms, kicking them off onto his floor leaving on her hello kitty socks. "nice socks" Xavier smiled, trying to maintain the eye contact that Phoenix kept breaking.

"I didn't come here for you to judge my socks" the girl grumbled as Xavier gently placed his blanket over the girls body, nodding raising his hands in surrender.

The silence filled the room as the two just stared at each other. The soft rain drops hit against the window, and the creaks of the old wood, their breathing, and the two were sure that the other could hear their heart beat.

The room was dark, and the two mentally thanked it so the other couldn't see the blush rising on their cheeks.

They didn't want much of anything, they just wanted to be in each other's company. Both had problems, and they couldn't talk about them. So silence was what they enjoyed the most.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Xavier gently questioned, brushing a few strands of hair from the girls face. Making a humming sound Phoenix sat up pulling her shoes back on. A soft material was thrown at the girls head before it fell into her lap. "Wear it princess" the boy stated as he pulled on his own hoodie smirking watching the girl pull the hoodie on.

Standing it nearly reached her knees, stopping just a few inches above them. "It's like a dress" Phoenix stated looking down at the jacket with a smile, a breathless laugh escaping her lips. Shaking his head with a smirk the two crept down the halls, Phoenix's small hand in his own large.

The rain pattered harshly on the stone ground, the two using the sides of the quad to keep dry. "We're gonna beat you" Phoenix smiled softly as she spoke glancing up to the taller boy who quirked a brow. "Oh really?" The boy questioned looking down to her as they came to a complete stop.

Staring at one another, nodding Phoenix smiled softly starting to walk again, bumping her shoulder in to his as he did to her.

It was hard to explain the feeling, love, it was a tricky word. One that was so hard to say because the feelings sometimes were mutual.

Though if the two could look in the others head perhaps they could see how highly the other thinks of them. How they are so perfect in their eyes, but alas seeking into the others headspace was just something that couldn't happen.
