When Phoenix awoke the next morning she was in a daze. She couldn't remember how she ended back in her dorm room. Tucked under the sheets and her hair pulled gently into a braid. The raging headache greeted her with no remorse and the feeling of dehydration beat in her throat. Standing up a cup of water along with pain killers sat on her bed side table.

Quickly the girl popped two of the medication before downing the glass of cold water. Memories from the night prior flashed in the girls head, her body ached as she lifted herself from her sheets changing into her uniform. Her phone in her pocket along with the slim device. Stepping out into the hall her bag slung over her shoulder and sleep still apparent in her eyes as she climbed down the steps.

Her eyes were low as she walked to her class, ten minutes late. Though she couldn't care less. "Phoenix just the girl I was looking for" miss Weems smiled as the doors to her office opens. Motioning for the girl to enter the room, a bright smile on the womens face. Phoenix cocked a brow as she entered the room, her eyes dancing between the sheriff and Wednesday who stood blank faced glaring at her sister.

The brunette slowly walked inside being greeted by Sheriff Galpin who nodded at the Addams girl. Leaning against the desk Phoenix crossed her arms staring down at her feet. The sleep had yet to fade from her eyes as she stared at the ground, her body weakened from the prior night. She was never good with using her power to much, it was how her grandmother had passed. She was protecting her child from a house fire and she over did it, sending her body into a weakened state. Blood had dropped from her nose, mouth and ears. It was unpleasant to be told when she was younger.

"What were you doing in the woods last night, Addams" the sheriff coldly asked as he glared at the brunette who stared back at him, blankly blinking rolling her eyes Phoenix nodded. "I had seen my sister going into the forest, so I followed after her. And we seen Rowan being attacked" Phoenix stated monotoned, her shoulders shrugging as she looked far into the man's eyes.

Nodding the brunette left the room her hands shaking and her breathing rigid. Phoenix had watched people die before, she had even been there when her parents played, darts, on humans of course. Though she couldn't understand why she was so fazed this time, perhaps it was what the boy had spoken about how the two were destined to destroy never more.

Turning the corner pushing her one ear bud into her ear. Though she was quickly met with a hard surface, backing up her eyes widened in shock as she stood face to face with Rowan. "How the hell are you here?" The brunette grumbled as she glared at the boy who looked very much alive now. "I don't have time to talk" the boy smiled trying to push past her, Phoenix quickly placed a hand on his chest stopping him from walking away.

"Sure had a lot to talk about when you attempted to kill me last night" the girl hissed, her eyes glaring into his own, the smile faltering from his face. "Next time you try to kill me- or my sister. Rowan I will kill you" the girl hissed, pushing past the boy, her shoulder hitting harshly against his. Sending him stumbling a bit.

"You wouldn't" Rowan spoke from behind her, a smirk on his features as he watched her turn her head to look at him. "Why's that?" She questioned, her body not showing any sign of fear or the sign of being nervous. "Because we both know that Wednesday is the sister with more power. Your just a scared girl in her sisters shadow" he smirked before turning on his heel leaving Phoenix in the hall.

The wood floor seemed to mock her as she walked the halls her eyes red, the feeling of her throat burning and her heart aching filled her body. Because he was right, she was just a scared girl in her sisters shadow. She will always only be her sisters shadow.

Leaving the corridors the air nipped at the girls skin, making her shiver slightly as she walked along the path, wanting nothing more than to just sleep. A hand gently tapped on her shoulder dragging her back to reality, her eyes hardened and her face went blank, turning to look at the person her face softened for a split second before it hardened again. Craning her neck up to look at the much taller boy who smiled a toothy grin down at the girl.

"I couldn't find you after last night" the boy stated watching as the brunette nodded turning off her music placing the case into her pocket. "I'm sure you heard what happened" the girl grumbled as she starting following beside him, having to take twice the steps to keep up with his strides.

"Yeah I mean it sounds crazy" the boy mumbled shrugging her shoulders, Phoenix nodded. She couldn't blame him because he was right the whole thing sounded crazy, everything about it sounded like a lie. "I seen him die Xavier" the girl mumbled as they came into a clearing in the woods. A small shack sitting in the middle of it with a lock on the outside.

"I believe you, just having an open mind is all" Xavier stated as he unlocked the doors pulling one open quirking a brow when she stood still. "I'm not trying to kill you" he mumbled watching he shrug. Letting out a breathless laugh he stepped inside first pulling on the light with a grin.

Taking a few steps inside the girls eyes widened as she looked around the small shack. It looked to be an art studio, the amount of supplies in the room and the canvases filled with paint. "What is this place?" The girl mumbled turning to face the boy who smiled, watching her eye every painting.

"Miss Weems said if I cleared it out I can use it so it's an art studio" he smiled watching her turn around to face him.

Making an oh face his hand gently dug into his pocket fishing out an ear bud handing it to the girl. "you ran off before I could give it back" he smiled softly, with wide eyes Phoenix lifted her cold hand gently taking the ear bud from his palm setting it into the case.

"Thank you" Phoenix mumbled as she sat down on a few empty paint crates. Her feet dangling just a few feet off the ground. Watching with careful eyes as he took out a new white canvas. "What're you doing?" Phoenix questioned a small smirk on her face.

"You said I could paint you" he mumbled.

That was when Phoenix felt it, her heart fluttered, and her heart beat skipped. A new look shined brightly in her eyes, and for a moment, over the smallest thing, such as him painting her. Made the girl feel special, like she had a meaning and he was showing it to her.

She had never liked to look back at herself, because she hated the way she looked, she hated being mocked by her imperfect lips, the way her cheek bones dont show, her jawline not strong and defined.

"Why do you want to paint me? I look like a mess" the brunette questioned watching as he gently sketched out her face structure, his eyes trained on the canvas. "You don't look a mess" he smiled. Shrugging slightly as he erased an error. "You never do" he smiled softly as she shook her head fumbling with her hands.

"I'm not wrong, sunshine" hot blood rushed up the girls neck at the nick name, her face had relaxed so it wasn't so harsh so she looked so comfortable.
