Everything was cold, it felt like the girl had been placed in a freezer. Her mind was blank and her stomach churned with nerves. She didn't understand why she was so worried about something so little, so stupid and silly. Though she was.

She hadn't spoken to Xavier in days, doing everything she could to avoid him. She steered clear of him like he was the plague. She didn't want nor need to talk with him, she felt fine with the internal conflict that she was facing.

Her books were clutched tightly in her arms as she walked to her class. The one she had been so set on ditching, she didn't and couldn't be in the same presence of Xavier for long. She break.

She'd shatter into thousands of little pieces, and she wouldn't be able to pick herself back up again. Her body went rigid as she looked around the room, in need of a seat. A frown covered her face when the only seat left was next to Xavier who sent her a quick glance before looking back to his sketch book.

"There's an open seat beside me, if you can handle being that close to me" he grumbled as the brunette slowly sat down beside him. Keeping her eyes set in a straight line. Set her body forward. Every so often she'd feel her eyes sliding to Xavier before she forced them back to Miss Thornhill.

For a moment, a split second, Phoenix forgot why she was avoiding him. Forgot about the kiss, forgot about the way his lips felt so perfect on her own. Remember the way she felt a sense of comfort in his presence. Felt a sense of security.

Then it all can back everything she had been pushing away came back like a slap to the face.

With dead eyes, cold dead beading eyes that made you want to look again but you'd force yourself to never look again. Because the fear of her grabbing you was in your mind.

A hand gripped onto the girls wrist. Pulling her into a room the door slamming shut, the girls hand raised up the lights flickering on as she stared at the brunette boy she was trying to avoid.

"We need to talk"
