New Beginnings

???: "Hey! Stop taking all of the dried fish!"

???2: "I got them first, they're mine."

???: "You're such a meanie, I'm gonna tell mom."

???2: "Nonono, don't do that, here, you can have half Caramel."

Caramel: "Hmph, I'll forgive you this time Anmitsu. But I still need to see mom anyway."

Anmitsu: "Is it about you wanting to experience school like a human again? Mother would really let you, but you haven't asked her at all."

Caramel: "I know but- it's kind of embarrassing. But I'll let you know how it goes."

Anmitsu: "She'll probably refer you to father again, he almost done at the store according to Velvet and Meringue. I thought he actually had school experience too so it makes sense."

Caramel walks away to go see her mom and bumps into someone.

???: "Sorry Caramel, I didn't see ya there. Wasn't payin attention to where I was going."

Caramel: "It's okay Auntie Azuki. I'm looking for mom, have you seen her?"

Azuki: "Hmmm... I think she's in the kitchen, why?"

Caramel: "It's a bit embarrassing, but I promise to tell you all about it when I'm done."

Caramel walks off towards the kitchen.

Azuki: "Heh, she really takes after her mom. So carefree."

Kitchen...

Caramel: "Momma, can I ask you something."

???: "Of course Caramel."

Caramel: "Can I experience what humans call high school? I've wanted to try it for a while now."

???: "I've never really experienced it, but you should ask Shigure-sama or your father. They've both experienced it firsthand, but nevertheless, I'd let you."

Another person entered the kitchen, looking for something.

???2: "Aunt Coconut, have you seen my phone charger, I can't find it and my phone is almost dead."

Coconut: "Sorry Meringue, I haven't."

Meringue: "So, in that case, what's Caramel talking about?"

Coconut: "She wants to try out that high school thing that your father did."

Meringue: "Ehh, why would you want to do that? Ol' Dad said that high school was an utter nightmare. I don't know why you would want to. Hasn't Aunt Shigure provided us the best tutors to learn from, what could you learn?"

Caramel: "I just want to experience that life, it seems rather... interesting."

Coconut: "But you know honey, laws say that people like us aren't allowed to go because we're still considered pets in their eyes."

Caramel: "I'm sure Dad will think up one of his outlandish ideas to get by."

Coconut: "I'm sure he will. Now, I have to go talk to your mother Meringue. Caramel, I'm sure he'll let you, don't overthink it."

Coconut pats both of their heads and walks off.

Meringue: "I'm going to the store, if you want anything, text me."

Meringue also leaves. An hour passes

Anmitsu's room...

Anmitsu: "Velvet, you're back from the store early, did something happen?"
