"So, he found out you weren't Mona?" You could only nod, hopelessly. Scaramouche had some high-level detective skills or something.

"What should I do..." you lazily laid your head on Heizou's shoulder on the couch. You let out a sigh then stood up to grab your bags to go home.

"First of all, why didn't you give him your actual name to start with? This is your fault, so don't cry about it." Heizou was scolding you but it didn't really seem like he was genuinely mad.

"Because he hated me," you looked back while stuffing school work into your backpack. "How was I supposed to get him to keep my number if he didn't like me?"

"Whatever," he started messing with his hair, trying to unknot it. "Remember Friday," he started pushing you out his front door. "I would walk you home, but I need to clean the house before my parents come home."

"Right, bye Heizou." You waved back at him who was smiling from inside the house. You turn to face forward pulling out your phone to listen to music.

-

"Hey." You stood there awkwardly in clothes you don't usually wear, but felt appropriate for the occasion. You had your mother's earrings on because she said it would look good.

"Hey," Heizou walked over quickly as soon as he saw you and entangled you and his' arms. "This way, slowpoke." He walked quickly, dragging you along and pulling you down the street from his house.

"Where are we going anyways... you said to dress nice so I expected like a steakhouse or something but we're walking?" He looked at your questioning gaze with an amused glint in his eye. "You don't even live near a fancy restaurant, I hope you know."

"Be patient, don't be surprised when we get there."

"Mhm, we're heading towards a..." you looked around the shops you were passing by, seeing a cafe. "Cafe. A cafe, sweet." You smiled remembering choking on boba while Heizou was laughing at you the last time you went there together. You were excited to go in until... you didn't. Heizou pulled you away from the cafe when you thought you were going in and kept heading straight.

"What?" That was embarrassing. "Ah, so not a cafe. Got it."

"Not that one, honey." He pulled the door to a cafe a few stores down, a maid cafe.

"Hold on." You stopped suddenly, you were already embarrassed, but to be seen in a maid cafe... Heizou ignored the fact you stopped, and pulled you inside.

"Welcome home master and mistress!" A bubbly sounding voice came from your right and when you looked, a young lady dressed in a maid dress smiled and then continued to wash the table. Why the fuck did Heizou bring you here.

Heizou pulled you along to a table and sat you in front of him. When you looked at him, he had the biggest smirk plastered on his face. You deadpanned and his smirk got even bigger. "I didn't say it wasn't a cafe."

"Automatically the worst date I've ever been on and this was my first." You started playing with your fingers, attention solely on the way they twirl around each other.

"Don't you like Scara?" You snapped your head up to look at him. "Don't you want a better chance to get him?" Your eyes sparkled which his eyes visibly softened at. "Alright then, we wait for now. Choose what you want."

A waiter came to your table after a minute, she had a bright smile on her face and somehow she looked excited to take orders.

"Have you chosen what you want?" Her smile never faltered and her hand was ready to write whatever you both said. Before you were about to order, Heizou already started.

"Actually, I want to request someone." He nervously smiled, probably scared they were going to decline. "Is Shogun here?"

The maid smiled at him, "she's actually on break! If you could be patient, I promise she'll be out right away." She left when Heizou nodded and said he didn't need anything else.

"Who is Shogun? Does she know Scaramouche?" You watched him lean back in his chair all relaxed.

"Yeah, she'll be a real help. Promise." He smiled and started looking around trying to see if he could find Shogun if he looked hard enough, leaving you to your own thoughts.

When Heizou first asked, you thought he meant in a romantic way. Just between the two of you. You even dressed nice for the occasion, not like you knew that he really meant it in a romantic way. You just thought the way he looked so heartfelt and genuine when he said it, that it was a confession. Just a thought though. Maybe if you didn't jump to conclusions 24/7, you would be in a relationship by now.

It's sad how much the idea of dating fills your mind much more than important things like studies, or getting into good colleges, or getting healthier by doing stuff like Pilates and dieting, or even building your relationship with your mother. Whatever, wishing was all you were good for anyway.
