"Trey, sweetie, what did we tell you about not opening closed doors?"
"Your mother's right, son. Remember, always knock before you walk."
Trey looked up at his parents, little eyes darting back and forth between mommy, who was laying on top, and daddy, whose face was covered in kissy marks. He swayed on the balls of his feet, whishing he could understand what they were doing but too confused to put what he was feeling into words. So he said:
"Jus' chekin'."
