"J... Jungkook."
Hoseok's voice trembled with fear as Jungkook suddenly raised his gun toward them.
His face was twisted with pain and anger, his bloodshot eyes filled with something none of them had ever seen before.
"You killed them," he growled darkly.
Jimin and Taehyung immediately raised their hands in surrender, showing him they meant no harm.
"P... Please, Jungkook."
Jimin's voice cracked.
"You aren't in your right mind. Please... come back to me. Come back to us."
His heart shattered at the sight of him.
Jungkook looked exhausted beyond words, his entire body strained as though he were fighting something inside his own head.
"It's me."
Jimin slowly swallowed.
"Your Jiminie."
Taehyung stepped closer, his voice soft.
"And your Taehyungie."
Jungkook violently shook his head.
"No."
He grabbed the side of his head as another sharp headache tore through him.
"No... You're not them."
His breathing became uneven.
"They left me."
His voice cracked.
"They left because I'm not worth staying for."
A tear slipped down his cheek.
"Even that boy left me."
The words came out like a confession he had been carrying for years.
Jungkook wrapped one arm around himself, shaking his head repeatedly as he desperately tried to convince himself that they weren't real.
The heaviness of loneliness pressed down on him until he could barely breathe.
Jimin's tears flowed freely.
He wanted nothing more than to run forward and wrap himself around the broken boy, shielding him from every horrible memory that had ever hurt him.
"No, Kook."
His voice trembled.
"We will never leave you."
He slowly took a step forward.
"I may have left you once..."
His lips trembled.
"But I will always come back to you ten thousand more times."
Taehyung's voice joined his.
"We're here, Kook."
Jungkook's lips began to wobble.
The gun in his hand trembled violently.
Taehyung carefully took another step forward.
Jungkook instinctively stepped backward.
"S... Stand back."
The words were exhausted.
Barely audible.
Taehyung stopped.
He didn't move any closer.
Instead, he smiled.
