Jeon Jungkook tilted his head at the annoying grin on the elder's lips, especially while staring at the two.

He slowly swirled the cup in his hand. "I don't have all day, Officer," he reminded him with a sweet smile, taking all the attention back onto himself.

Jackson cleared his throat while Taehyung and Jimin stared at him suspiciously.

His eyes observed them as he crossed his arms. "Perhaps you three are dating." He leaned back, seeing the offended look on the third boy's face.

"I don't think that's any of your business," Taehyung spat out, earning a humorous chuckle in return, while Jungkook remained silent. Instead, he poured more wine into their glasses like the discussion wasn't his cup of tea.

So professional.

"Sorry for the random question," he apologized, taking the glass from the younger boy and sipping it. He mused for a moment before his gaze turned deadly serious.

"I will get straight to the point," he muttered plainly. "I'm here for the report of a kidnapping case."

Taehyung raised his brow, and Jimin gulped, his pupils dilating slightly.

He's nervous.

Jungkook couldn't care less as he poured another glass for himself. At this rate, he would definitely drink the whole bottle.

Jackson shoved his hands into his pockets and took out a picture. His eyes darted between the three before he grinned.

He hesitated for a moment before stretching out his hand toward Jimin.

Their weakness.

"Do you know this guy?" he asked.

Jimin was taken aback.

Why him?

He nervously glanced at the two before collecting the photo in confusion. Even Jungkook felt bothered as he glared back at the elder, finally showing some reaction.

Jackson grinned triumphantly. He really had made a good choice by picking him after all.

"His name is Lee Taemin. He disappeared after talking to you... Who knows? He may already be dead."

Jimin's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked back at Jungkook, which didn't go unnoticed by the officer.

"What the fuck do you want?" Taehyung growled, his grip on Jimin tightening as if it would ease his tension.

Jackson lifted a brow before chuckling.

"Nothing, sir. I'm just doing my job."

He glanced at Jungkook, who had been silent the whole time. His slender, long fingers were tapping against his thighs. He had even stopped drinking.

He was pissed off.

And Jackson knew it.

But that was definitely not his purpose here. He was here to find out about the disappearance of those two boys, and for some reason, his hunch told him there was still a dark secret behind it.

He wanted to dig it out.

His eyes moved back to Jungkook.

"But there's something I've been wondering."

Jungkook remained silent.

"Have we met before?" Jackson asked.

Jungkook's eyes narrowed slightly.

"I don't think so."

Jackson smiled faintly. "Eight years ago."

The room went still.
