"Vicky!" Allie sat beside Victoria, smiling. Victoria's gaze softened. She liked that Allie's smiles weren't so fake. Myla was glaring menacingly at Victoria, but Allie didn't seem to notice. "Do you guys serve hot chocolates here?" "Oh, yeah. Why?" "I want one." Victoria squeezed past Allie. "Where are you going?" Allie asked. She sounded like she didn't want her to leave. Victoria turned to look at her. "You said you wanted a hot chocolate, right? Free of charge." Allie lit up, grinning. "Thank you!!" Victoria left and started talking to her coworkers. Allie faced Myla. "What did you guys talk about while I was gone?" "Oh, nothing. Al, I'm happy if you're happy." Allie was stunned at first. "Why the sudden burst of... that? I mean, thank you I love you, but why out of nowhere?" Myla smiled softly. "I felt like it." She crossed her arms, put them on the table, and laid her head on them. She closed her eyes and Allie left her alone. She must have had a long day.
Victoria returned with 2 hot chocolates, sliding one to Myla's side. Myla was still with her eyes closed, not napping, just tired. Allie took a sip and the taste immediately overwhelmed her. "Oh my god!! It's so good!!" She licked her lips happily. "I'm glad. I made it." Allie looked at her. "You did?? You're a professional!!" Victoria looked away, staring out the window. Allie enjoyed her hot chocolate.
When Myla woke up, her drink was going cold. She quickly sipped it. "It's good, not bad." Allie gave a thumbs-up and said, "Vicky made it!" "Oh, really?" Myla glanced at her, but Victoria didn't move. She was probably thinking about something, so Myla didn't compliment her out loud. "You like it a lot?" Myla asked. Allie nodded excitedly. "It's super good for chilly weather!" Myla smiled and nodded. "Yeah."
Allie turned towards Victoria. "You guys wanna play a short game?" Victoria didn't move or answer. "Hm, here?" Myla asked. "Sure, why not?" She was suspicious, though. "Uh, what game could we play in a cafe?.." Allie thought for a minute. "Let's meet up this evening and hang out, all three of us!" Victoria glanced at Myla, then grit her teeth. "You really want to?" She choked out. "Yeah, why not!" Victoria sighed, then slowly nodded. Myla was already in just because Allie wanted to.
"Alright, let's meet at 6, I know a place. I'll text you both!" Allie exclaimed. Myla nodded and got into her car, driving off. "Okay, yeah." Victoria waved goodbye and got back behind the counter as Allie called a Uber.
