On Saturday, as Victoria laid in her bed staring at the ceiling, she was actually thinking about the day to come. She thought it seemed odd that she replied so quickly to one message but left the others on read, and that Allie thought it was rude. She thought about how Al had called her Victoria. Did she change her mind about calling her Vicky? Victoria didn't mind that nickname, even though nobody except Al called her that. Maybe she didn't like Vicky calling her Al.

She sighed and put the blanket over her head. She was a mess, and she knew it all too well. Her phone suddenly pinged, and she ran to see the notification. It was her mother. "Victoria, I know you're not working this weekend. Come visit home." Victoria furiously typed back that she was busy and already had plans. Her mother left her on read.

Another notification, and this time it was from somebody she wanted to hear from. A voice message. "Vicky, sorry to trouble you on the one day you get to stay home, but I wanted to ask about Sunday. How does 7 pm sound?" She replied with a voice message as well, "Sure. Send me your address, I'll pick you up." Victoria didn't want to imagine Allie's reaction, and only focused on her response. Maybe Al didn't trust her enough. Or maybe she was just paranoid. Either way, Al responded after a minute or 2 with another voice message, "Okay. Fine by me." Her address followed the voice message. She sounded a bit shaky, as if she was trembling, and Victoria decided it was from surprise that she offered to pick her up. She knew what others thought of her.

She decided she should choose something to wear. Based on Allie's personality, she probably chose something simple and casual. Victoria would go with that. She picked out a baggy, elbow-length t-shirt & sweatpants. The pants seemed fine enough for outings. She chose to care about her hair and accessories on Sunday.
