I woke up the next morning with Zayn's arms around me; one under my neck as if it was a pilow, one across my chest. He was still asleep. I was relaxed when I was next to him.
I thought about the night before. I didn't remember going to bed, so I guess either I sleep walked into the hotel or one of the boys carried me. Then, I thought about Vivian. Was she okay? Should I call her to make sure?
Zayn rolled onto his back, one of his arms moving from me to the other side of the bed, the other still under my neck. I closed my eyes, savoring the moment. It was nice to have some peace and quiet. If possible, I would have stayed there forever. But, of course, that wouldn't be possible. Footsteps confirmed my thoughts.
"Brooke?" said a voice. I opened my eyes and looked in the doorway to see Liam standing there awkwardly.
"Yeah, what's up?" I asked. He looked at Zayn, who was still sprawled out on the bed.
"Could you wake him up?" he asked. I looked at him confused.
"Just out of curiousity, why me?" I asked. He sighed.
"Because your the only one who can really wake him up." he said. I laughed and shrugged.
"Sure." I sat up and turned towards Zayn.
"Zayn... Wake up..." I said, shaking his arm. He moaned and rolled over onto his stomach, knocking me onto the floor and taking the blanket with me. I threw the blankets off and looked at Liam, who was covering his mouth and looking away, trying not to laugh. I rolled my eyes and got up.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Liam said, still laughing. He finally stopped and looked at me.
"Tell him that we don't have plans today when he wakes up." He began to walk away.
"Oh, and try not to hurt yourself!" he shouted from the hall. I could hear him laughing. I turned back to Zayn.
"Zayn... get up..." I said. He sat up and stretched. Then, he looked at me.
"Is he gone?" he asked me.
"Who?"
"Liam."
"Oh..." I laughed. "Yeah, he just walked out."
"Alright then. Will you open the blinds? It's dark in here." he said. I nodded and walked over to the window. When I opened the blinds, instead of sunlight, I saw a gloomy grey sky and falling rain.
"Well, it's a good thing you don't have plans." I said, turning back to him. He got off the bed and walked over to the window, staring at the rain.
"Come on, lets go see what the others are doing." he said.

We walked into the livingroom to see the boys on the couch, talking and watching the news.
"Brooke, you have done the impossible." Louis said, staring at Zayn. I laughed and sat on the edge of the couch.
"Anyone want hot cocao?" Harry asked. I smiled.
"Sure." I said, and everyone agreed with me. He left to go make some, and Zayn brought a chair next to the couch (since there wasn't enough room for him to sit on it). The other boys just talked while I watched the news. Finally, when the hot cocao was ready, Harry brought us all mugs of it with miny marshmallows in it. Everyone went silent as we sipped it. You would understand if you had some; it was just that good. The boys finally started talking again and I turned to Zayn.
"Hey... you never told me what happened that night." I said.
"What night?"
"You know... the night I ran away."
"Oh..." he paused to take a sip of his hot chocolate. "Well the, I-"
He was interrupted by Niall and Louis yelling at eachother.
"Come on, I'll tell you in my room. Where it's less... chaotic."

When we walked into his room, he spreaded the blanket back on the bed. Then, I sat down next to him and he began his story.
"Well..." he started, "when you ran out, I just stood there. Then, I sat on my bed, staring at the door. I don't know how long I stayed like that, but I remember Liam walking in and telling me it was time to start the concert. I got ready and left. It was already getting dark when I arrived. I walked in and had Michelle fix my hair. Then, it was almost time to start. The boys were walking onto the stage, and I couldn't do it. I just... grabbed my sunglasses and hat and walked out. I had no idea where you were, so I went to where I had seen you the first time. I looked around and eventually decided to keep looking."
"I walked down the street some more, looking everywhere. Finally, I found you in an alley. Brooke... you looked horrible. You were cut up, bruised, and... just so lifeless and pale. I picked you up carefully, afraid I would hurt you, and called a cab. The driver drove me back to the hotel and I snook back in, avoiding the fans. Finally, once inside, I laid you down on the couch. When the boys got home, they were yelling at me about how I ditched them."
I choked on a miny marshmallow.
"You okay?" he asked me.
"Yeah," I said, "then what?"
"Well, they were yelling at me. Then Louis shouted 'Give me one good reason for you leaving.' They stared at me, waiting for an answer. I just looked at you, and they stopped dead in their tracks. They were completely silent for a good minute and a half. Finally, Niall broke the silence saying, 'She's... real?' You should have seen their faces."
"Anyways, we basically just spent the time before you woke up staring at you." He said. I laughed.
"Couldn't make that sound any less creepy, could you?" I said. He laughed.
We were interrupted by Harry walking in.
"guys, wanna watch a movie?" he asked.
"Sure!" me and Zayn said.
