I woke up on a park bench. I didn't remember waking up there, so i must have been up real late looking for a spot to lay down. I sat up and combed out my hair with my fingers, which was hard because it was so long and thick. Once it was atleast managable, I began to braid it.
The streets I had seen the day before (hectic, over-crowded, loud...), were now peaceful and empty, with the exception of a few stray cars. It was foggy and surprisingly cold, so i figured it was morning.I was halfway done with my braid when i heard footsteps. I turned my head to see a man wearing a long black jacket, hat, and some sunglasses. He sat down next to me and took off his sunglasses. I would recognize those eyes anywhere.
He sat down next to me and watched a few cars pass. I continued braiding my hair, but finished fast. Then, I just sat there awkwardly as he stared at the buildings around us. Then, he spoke.
"I saw you the other night..." he said. "but didn't had the chance to say hi." I looked once again into those beautiful eyes of his.
"...Hi." I said awkwardly. He smiled.
"So, what's your name?" he asked.
"Brooke." I said simply.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Brooke." he said.
I smiled for what I believed to be the first time.
"Well, what are you doing out here so early in the morning? You must be freezing." he said. In fact, I had forgotten how cold I was. I was shivering, and it seemed he had noticed.
"Where do you live?" he asked, "I'll give you a ride home." I looked down at my feet.
"I-I don't know." I said, feeling like a lost child.
"Well... is there anyone I can call to come pick you up?" he asked.
"I... don't know." I said, blushing furiously. He seemed to notice and did the same, embarrassed for me. He sighed.
"Well, I can't leave you here to freeze to death. Follow me." He stood up and and began to walk. I stayed, completely dumbfounded. He turned around.
"You coming?" he asked.
I stood up and brushed my dress off. "Yah."

The hotel he was staying at wasn't that far away; we only had to walk a few blocks. He had put on his sunglasses again and kept his hat so that his face was hidden in the shadow of it. I just smiled and kept walking.
As we arrived, a mob of girls were already surrounding the building, screaming and holding up posters. The posters had things like "1D 4EVA", and "I LOVE YOU GUYS!" written on them in huge, bold letters. I saw him smile from under his disguise.
Because of the mob of screaming girls, we had to go in through a back enterance. We walked up some stairs and walked down a hallway. He stopped at a door and took out a card. He slipped it in the mechinism attached to the door, then pulled it back out. The yellow thight blinked, then turned green and he opened the door.
We walked into a room with blue walls and a big window with black curtains. He closed the door and took off his hat and sunglasses.
"Oh!" he said, "I forgot to introduce myself!" He took off his jacket and hung it up on a hook in the wall next to the door.
"My name's Zayn," he said. I smiled.
"I know," I said. "The girls practically died over you last night." He laughed.
"I know. I'm never going to get used to that..." He sat down on the couch and gestured for me to do the same. As I walked over, I tripped over my own foot and fell onto the wooded floor.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
"Zayn! Who are you talking to?" said another voice. I poked my head up to see a blonde walking in through the hall behind the couch. I stood up as quick as I could and brushed my dress off.
"Niall, meet Brooke." Zayn said.
Niall looked at Zayn like he was crazy. "Brooke?" he asked.
"Yah," said an irritated Zayn, "The girl standing right here."
Niall looked at Zayne with a hint of worry in his eyes. "Zayn, there's no girl in here."
