Kiana's POV:
Midnight traffic freaking sucks, let me tell you that. We decided it would be a good idea to through Chicago on our journey across the country. Turns out it wasn't. A crash happened about 3 miles down the highway and no one liked where it was going. Oncoming traffic is a mess too. See we would've been at gravity falls by now if we would've flown.
"Honey go to sleep, you're gonna drive later, and you'll need the sleep," Mom told me, something was off though. I went up and felt my eye, oh dear. I retracted my hand and saw the red substance. I gasped and looked through my bag for some napkins. Thank god I found some, Cause I need them.
"MOM, IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!" I yell to her and put the napkins to my eye. It lasts for hours, and of course, it happens right now, when I'm about to sleep. Turns out I'm not sleeping tonight. I looked at my mother's concerned face, she was having a panic attack. I put my left hand on my mom's shoulder.
"Mom, everything's gonna be fine! I'll just sleep when it stops, plus we have the rest of the car ride to get over there, 28 hours is a lot of time," I gave her a sad smile, headlights and brake lights blinding me. She took a deep breath and turned back around, starting to scroll through Facebook. She suddenly gasped.
"You have a cousin around your age. Her name is Wendy and I think she's 15. My brother, AKA your uncle Daniel, told her to show you around when we're there." I smiled to myself, a cousin whos my age, that's nice. I wonder if she has any siblings, or if she's an only child like me. I took my phone from the charger and searched for her on Facebook.
Wendy Corduroy Wendy Wendy Wen- Oh right here! I pressed her Facebook profile, and a couple of pictures showed up. She's actually really pretty, can't wait to meet her! I smile to myself and look at a couple more photos.
I open up my camera app and look into my eye. Huh, it already stopped, how? It usually takes hours for it to stop. I put my phone back on the charger and look out the window. This is boring, I'm going to bed. I took off my maroon hoodie and used it as a pillow. Before resting my eyes, I spoke to my parents.
"Goodnight.. my eye stopped bleeding so I'm going to bed." I closed my eyes, imagining what my new house would look like, and how I'd decorate my new room. I smiled a bit, this is gonna be amazing, I just know it.
