Suddenly the red liquid seeped from my eyepatch at the worst possible time. Everyone around was looking at me, and anxiety overtook me and I started having a panic attack. I started breathing heavily breathing and a single tear rolled down my face. I wanted to be somewhere private.
"Hey, your eye is bleeding, do you need to go somewhere else?" Wendy whispered to me, and I slowly nodded. She came out from behind the counter. "Soos, can you check people out while I'm gone?" Wendy asked Soos and he immediately went behind the counter. The twins went behind the employee-only door and we followed them. When we went through the door and went to the kitchen through a door. It smelled like an apple tree.
"Kiana, sit down." Mabel took my hand and lead me over to a kitchen table. I was holding my right eye over my eyepatch, and when I took it off to look at it, my hand was red. "oh shoot paper towels?" Wendy asked and I nodded, she went and got the entire roll and set it beside me. "Thanks," I said quietly, and then I realized something. I gonna have to take off my eyepatch. I took another deep breath. "I'm gonna take off my eyepatch, don't judge what's under it." Dipper nodded, "I would never judge you! You have nothing to worry about!" Mabel reassured me. I gave a little smile, then reached up towards my eyepatch. As I took it off and saw the light in my right eye.
Dipper gasped as he saw my yellow eye. "Dude, Dipper, that's rude," Wendy eyed Dipper, and he cleared his throat. "Sorry, but Kiana's eye reminds me of a certain one-eyed triangle that possessed me." Dipper got out that danged journal again. I ignored it and cleaned the dried blood off my face, as it had already stopped bleeding. "Dipper, what's that book you've got?" I asked, and he looked up, "Just something I found at the start of summer, wait, tell me, have you ever heard of Bill Cipher" When Dipper said that, I immediately got a horrible headache, it pulsed throughout me. But just as soon as it started, it stopped. "Oh- here- Let me show you the page on him in the journal." Dipper came over to beside me and placed the book on the counter, the page showing 'Bill Cipher' I read what the author had written. "The most powerful and dangerous creature I've ever encountered." I read out loud, I skipped to another paragraph. "My right eye is so sore it bleeds on the page. My god, I think this Bill guy is somehow a part of me." I started breathing hard again, but that Stan guy came out of the gift shop and into the room.
"Um Kiana, there's this police guy outside, he wants to talk to you or somethin'" Stan left into the gift shop again. "We'll come back to this, stay put." I got up, a little loopy, rinsed off my eyepatch, and slid it onto my right eye again. I walked out of the kitchen and into the busy gift shop again. I went to the exit and immediately saw two cops talking to Stan, and I walked over. "Hello, are you Kiana Wilson?" The chubby one asked, and I nodded in response. "At 10:30 this morning, your parents, Oliver and Lily, went grocery shopping and got into a car wreck. They died upon impact. I'm sorry for your loss Kiana." The skinnier cop announced. It went blurry from there, they started saying that I could stay with Stan if I wanted to, as he had put up the offer. My parents are dead? No, they aren't. "Is this some kind of sick joke, cause it's not funny." I felt no emotion in that moment. The cops paused for a moment. "No, they really are gone, kid," Stan said, and then it started to set in. Tears kept flowing, nothing seemed real, as if reality itself was an illusion, and the universe was a hologram.
(A/N; see what I did there? No? I'm not funny? Ah yes I know.)
"I'll take you to get your stuff kid when you want of course." Stan went silent, and the cops got in the police car and left. As soon as they did, I hugged Stan. He was now the closest thing I had to a father figure, even if he did try to flirt with me earlier. He didn't hug me back immediately, which was okay. He probably hadn't lost a family member that close to him before. But what he said after hugging me back made me think differently. "I get it, kid, I get it." The embrace stopped and I wiped the tear from my eye. "I'm going to shut down the shack, we need to get ready for your stay." Stan walked away and gave me time alone to think. Stan seems like a very work-orientated guy, I guess I mean as much for him to shut down the shack. I walked inside through the side door, which lead to the kitchen where everyone was. "Oh, Kiana I'm so sorry!" Mabel immediately hugged me, next Wendy, upon my request. "Let's not be sad, let's be happy that my mom and dad lived a happy life!" I tried to cheer all of them up.
Stan's POV
"Yes! I will take amazing care of Kiana, nothing to worry about Dan!" I'm not sure if he could hear the slight worriedness in my voice, but it was there in my mind. "Okay, you better not be lying." Dan hung up the phone and I hung it back up on the wall. To be honest I'm not sure if I could take care of a full-on teenage girl, Dipper & Mabel are 12 and they are already hard enough. Still, I could try. I walked into the kitchen and Kiana, Wendy, and the twins are having some sort of conversation I couldn't understand. Something about triangles. "Well, I'm afraid it's time for Kiana to get her stuff." Wendy immediately said bye and left, and of course, the twins had to come with her.
"Grunkle Stan, Could we come with you and Kiana?! I reallyyyy wanna see what her room looks like!" Mabel of course begged me, and how could I say no to her? "Sure but Kiana gets the front seat." I grabbed the keys to the StanMobile and everyone emptied out to my car.
