-Angie's POV-
Saturday morning. Maaga akong ginising ng isang text message from Drei.
Good morning Angie. We'll meet at Golden Resto at exactly 10:30 am. Love you. – Drei c",)

I fixed and made myself presentable. It must be something important. I checked the time. Quarter to ten. I have to go then.
I arrived at the rendezvous at exactly 10:25 am.
I looked for the table where Drei was supposed to be. Yet before my eyes have seen him, he was already approaching towards me.
Drei held my hand and went to table where a woman was already seated. The woman was beautiful and very formal in posture but not strict. Drei respectfully introduced me to her.
"Mom, this is Angie." She gave me a warm smile as if we've met before.
"Angie, this is my mom. Ms. Evelyn Natividad Foster." I smiled at her with confidence trying to hide the questions on my mind. Bakit nandito ang mommy ni Drei? At, bakit niya ako ipinapakilala?
The woman stood and gave me a cheek to cheek greeting.
"Have a seat." She cordially said.
Drei pulled a chair and guided me to seat.
"You know what, Drei talked so much about you. Mabait ka daw. Sophisticated to be exact." She said while smiling at me.
I just smiled back. I was flattered of course. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin. O at least, response man lang. Pa'nu ba?
"Then, how's Drei as an exchange student? Hindi ba pilyo ang binata ko?"
Drei was merely listening to our convo and suddenly interrupted.
"Mom, I'm not pilyo. I'm mah-bah-it." He disagreed.
Drei's mom and I laugh to how he reacted. At the back of mind, tama nga naman si Drei. He's kind and never pa kaming nag-away.
"See, Angie. He knows already how to speak Filipino..." she commended humorously "...kahit na bulol." She whispered as if hindi narinig ni Drei.
"Mom, I heard that", Drei smilingly said.
"Kaya nga po, siya lang ata ang kilala ko na half-Filipino na hirap matutong mag-Tagalog." I smiled at her.
"But seriously Angie, I owe you the effort and patience that you're exerting. For almost a month of Drei's stay, you did the job that I should be doing. "
