The family get together was exactly like always, a disaster. I left home no longer on speaking terms with Lwazi and avoiding dad since he's an adult and I'm not allowed to give him the silent treatment. Owami, Samkelo and Damien did enjoy themselves, they still have jobs so that meant no one was on their case about anything.

Samkelo is the first born and heir to the throne, his father is our king and that means our father gets to be in-laws with royalty. I still remember the first day I met Samkelo, he was so sweet and he made sure the whole Prince thing wass never mentioned. I liked that, he and my sister met at a met gala dinner, he asked her out and that was 4 years ago.

Damien ignored every question talking about where he works, he ignored every question about him and I liked that he doesn't want people all up in his business. It does make me question why he doesn't want people in his business though.

He drove us back, I couldn't even stay awake, I am tired, Sundays are the worst, my parent's friends came l
by and we have to stay up all night answering their million questions which if you ask me are irrelevant really. Then there's the whole keeping them company thing which is the worst, I don't talk rich people, I talk news. Damien shook my shoulder waking me up.

"Here, have something to eat".

He bought breakfast from the stop pit, with coffee on the side and snacks, it is still a four hour drive, we've only spent an hour on the road and I didn't eat in the morning. I sat up straight, stretching, I then took the coffee and muffins, he loves his coffee with muffins on the side.

"Thank you".

Damien took a bite of his breakfast too, I watched him eating, he has serious high appetite levels, I smiled getting out of the car. He is nothing like anyone else, he's his own person and I really, really like that, I like that my father doesn't like him, it will make our thing a lot fun. I took off my shoes throwing them in the backseat then got back in, Damien took off his jacket leaving him with a tight long sleeve t-shirt.

He is ripped, I stopped eating and just stared at him, he looked back at me, I closed my eyes again, sitting back on the seat, drinking my coffee making him stare. He chuckled finishing his breakfast and the car drove off, my phone going off, I groaned cussing under my breath. I pulled it out looking at it, Owami is missing me already.

"Missing me already?".

"We need to talk".

I sat up straight."What's wrong?".

"I don't know how to tell you this".

"Owami, you're scaring me".

"Okay... I'm...".

"You're what?".

"I'm pregnant".

"What?".

She took a deep breath, looking down at her 4th positive pregnancy test."I'm pregnant Olwethu, Samkelo doesn't know, I didn't know, I don't know what to do, Olwethu, I can't be pregnant, not now".

"I'm coming back".

"No, don't, I already took a flight back".

I took a deep breath."What are you going to do now?".

"I don't know, do you think aborting is a good idea?".

"No, don't even think about it, Samkelo deserves to know the truth and if you do this then I'll never get a chance to be an aunt because you know you, you'll get pregnant after 50 years and I'll be dead in 50 years".

Owami laughed probably wiping her tears away."See? This is why you're the smartest".

"I love you, all of you, the two of you, duo".

She laughed again."I love you too, thank you, say hi to Damien and tell him I said he's lucky to have you as a girlfriend".

"Owami is saying hi and you're lucky to have me as a girlfriend".Damien just nod, maybe I should tell Owami the truth."He said he knows, call me later, love you".

Damien watched me smiling, obviously he knows Owami is pregnant but knowing him, he won't say anything, he won't even ask me. I smiled at that turning my head watching him, he also turned his head to me and I was still smiling, he raised both his brows, I looked away sitting back, closing my eyes again.

Damien woke me up after we arrived, maybe I also don't go home much because of how far it is. Damien took our bags in the apartment, I am tired, I took a shower while he started with dinner and I finished off when he also took a shower, he then dished up for us.

"Your brother missed you".

That made me laugh."Doubtful, very doubtful, I think he was adopted".

"What?".

"Think about it, Owami and I are pretty much the same person, he's different, I mean really different".

Damien shook his head."That doesn't mean he was adopted".

I washed our dishes, he wiped them before putting them back in the cabinet."So you're like rich".

"My father is".

I don't like it when people think I'm rich just because my dad is rich, he watched me brushing his head, he then frowned and someone knocked on the door, we both groaned then looked at each other, that was unexpected. I have never heard him groan, worse at the same time as I. He tried to move but I pulled him back, pointing him on the chair to sit, he gave me the look but I stood my ground. He sighed sitting down.

"You're very bossy".

"I'm not, I'm just intimidating".

"You wish".

I gasped and opened the door smiling and I almost died right at the door."Luke, what are you doing here?".

"You not gonna invite me in?".I just looked at him."I came to check up on you, I called the office they said you got suspended".

"Really now? You tryna tell me you only realized now that I got suspended? It was all over the news, Luke".

"You not gonna let me in?".

I took a deep breath, dealing with him, dealing with dad and dealing with Lwazi is like dealing with the same people. It's worse with him because he has seen me naked, on countless occasions and he knows whose apartment this is or he wouldn't be here lying about checking up on me.

"This is not my place, so no".

"Okay, fair, who is he? Where does he work? Do you know his friends or anyone he's close to for that matter?".

"Detective Smith, please don't start".

He sighed nodding."Fine, sorry, I'm just worried about you, Olwethu, you haven't been taking any of my calls".

"Your calls?".

"Yes, well, Zulu's calls".

Of course he told Zulu to call me."I've been busy".

Damien pulled the door behind me, I turned around our eyes meeting, he then looked up at Luke."Hello".

"Hi, busy with what?".

"A lot".

"Do you want dessert?".

I looked up at Damien and he is just staring at me, making me freeze, he is close, very close, I cleared my throat and his hand moved to my waist, holding me gentle, he remembers he hurt me.

"I'm gonna go, now".

Damien frowned, I shook my head and turned around pushing him in by his chest which felt like a brick, I then turned around watching Luke walk away before closing the door. Damien shrugged taking a bowl to the bedroom with him, I followed him and he just shut the door on my face. Wow.
