Sometime later.
I woke up to Luke kissing me, a lot of kisses and I just pushed him off of me and turned him over slamming him on the bed, it annoys the shit out of me when he does that, I love sleeping. He smiled raising his eyebrows and I also smiled kissing him back, he's an idiot, he kissed my neck and my phone rang, I ignored it but it kept ringing, I groaned and took it.
"What? No ways".
I put my phone on speaker."Lwazi left, he left a note saying 'I'm gay, see you next year I'm going away to an exotic beach with my hot ass boyfriend, love you' now, I've been thinking and it's Leo, it's gotta be Leo, he's hot and he's a boyfriend".
"Oh yeah Leo is hot and he does have a nice ass".
"Yo! Luke, tell your girlfriend to stop putting ideas in my wife's head!".
That made me laugh and look up at Luke who was just staring at me."My Prince, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were listening".
"Yeah yeah, also we're outside your house".
I screamed getting off bed and ran to the door, Luke ran after me and pulled me back before I could open the door."Go get dressed, I'll get the door".
"Do not open that door before I come back".
He just smiled and I walked backwards still pointing at him, we always fight about the door because everytime he holds my niece first then I never get to hold her. I ran up putting on his t-shirt and shorts then ran downstairs only to find him holding her.
"Give me the baby, Luke".
"No, she doesn't want to, do you Ndlela? No you don't".
And we spent the whole day together, Luke not putting my niece down not even for a second making me feel like I no longer have a place in his life. Samuel offered to take her to bed but Luke just looked at him and that made me laugh, I love him, he's perfect.
"He's good with kids, he'll make one hell of a father".
I smiled watching him."He will".Owami just smiled, I looked at her then stopped smiling."Don't even think about it".
"What? Uwu mamncane oqotho waNdlela, uzoba umama oqotho".She hit me with her shoulder.(You're a great aunt to Ndlela, you'll be a great mother).
I looked up at Luke and smiled, I would be a great mother, I shook my head, she's putting ideas in my head and I am not letting that happen, not today and they left. Luke kissed my shoulders turning me around, he brushed the scars kissing each and every one of them leaving a smile on my face, he brushed my face then kissed me again.
"I love you".
"I love you too".
He smiled."I'll see you tomorrow".
And a knock followed making us both groan, he smiled at our syncing and I just rolled my eyes to the back of my head, he finds everything we do amazing. He believes that just because we both use both hands to do stuff then we are a match made in heaven. I opened the door only finding a box, I took it inside and he waited for me to open it. I chuckled at that and took out everything, a clear map, a clear black book and a necklace.
A new, clean start.
I put the note down and ran out, Luke following me and I couldn't find him, I just stood there looking around and no sign of him, no sign of Damien. Most days I believe I see him across the street but when I get there he's gone, I see him everywhere I go, I know he's not dead, I just want to see him, even if it's just one last time, say goodbye, tell him how much I miss him.
"He's gone".
I am happy you found your way back to Luke, he's an okay guy, I know where he lives so if he does something to piss you off, I will go have a word with him. Ndlela is growing fast and your sister is happy, so are your parents, also I'm glad you and your father made peace. I will forever watch over you, you're the only family I have, the only friend I have and I'm sorry I left, I'm sorry I never come by, you know it's for your own safety. Keep warm in winter, be healthy and hydrate in summer. I love you.
I wiped my cheeks and eyes, I miss him so much, I miss waking up to him grumpy in the kitchen, I miss his rare smiles, his zero sense of humor, I miss everything about him. He was suppose to be here today, with me that's why we even fought against Amberemere, so he could gain freedom.
"He's watching over you, damn I'm jealous and scared".
That made me smile and Luke pulled me to him hugging me holding the back of my neck and his lips on my forehead, I looked up at him and he pressed his lips against my forehead again. I love it when he does that, I closed my eyes his lips still pressed against my lips.
"Hey lovebirds, we gotta go".Zulu called from his car after stopping.
I turned around and chuckled."You could have just given us a few more minutes".
"To hug and kiss? Gross".
"Akuthina esithe shima Zulu".(We didn't say stay single).
"Ngishime ngoba ngithanda, Olwethu".(I'm single by choice).
I smiled and turned around giving Luke a kiss. He brushed my chin tilting my head up with it and he left.
I don't know what the future holds for us, nobody knows all I know is I'll be happy with him in my life, I will be a great wife to him and a great mother to our children, he will be a great husband and father. I will spend the rest of my life with him and Damien will visit us every once in a while, our kids will get to know him, he will be a great uncle. I will cherish every moment of my life.
I smiled and went back in the house, a new beginning awaits me.
