"You invited Kim? Seriously?".
I looked up at Viwe dressed in pants suit, she looks amazing and yes, she's lesbian.
"What? You're scared she'll see you have a crush on her?".
That made her frown."I do not have a crush on her".
"Oh, yes, you do, which is weird because you don't like her".
Olwethu walked in and I smiled, she has been through a lot in the last two months and I'm just glad she's okay. She turned around looking at herself in the mirror, she turned around again before frowning fixing her breasts in the maid of honor's dress, she looks pretty, beautiful. She brushed her scars and smiled.
"Proud of yourself?".
She laughed."Oh yeah, I have accomplished a lot".
"I'm glad you find that funny".
"Nihleba ngobani nina nobabili?".(Who are you two gossiping about?).
"Kim".
"You finally admitting to having a crush on her?".
Viwe sighed."I do not have a crush on her, I just don't see why we need her as well, there's your cousin, Sam's sister, you and me, four's enough".
And Kim walked in, we all looked up at her, she smiled showing her dimples, we looked back at Viwe and she just smiled. Olwethu got closer to her.
"I bet she's walking slow mo in your head".
"Don't make it so obvious".I hit her with my elbow.
She looked up at me then Olwethu."Niyaphapha".(You're too forward).
That made us laugh, Kim walked up to me and kissed the side of my face, we told dad about the pregnancy and the engagement and he didn't shoot anyone neither did Bab'Nkosi. Kim sat down and watched as the makeup artist finished off my makeup, Viwe and Olwethu said no to the makeup, I'm Owami Nkosi, they are wearing it.
"Wait, you still haven't told us what King said when you told him".
"He said, You want to marry her? The model? And Samkelo was like, yes, father, I love her, she's all I want, King then said, that one got me...she walks in front of a thousand men almost naked, Sam was like well, she is a model dad".We all just stood there, listening to her."And well, here I am ready to get married".
That made Olwethu chuckle."You're a great storyteller".
I smiled shaking her hand, Nosihle Samuel's sister and Amile our cousin got in, carrying bouquets.
"We need to get you dressed now".
Olwethu smiled brushing my head."Look at you, all grown and shit".
"I'm the oldest in the family, stop touching my head, also no strong language".
She smiled and the job began, I thought preparing for a wedding was hard but actually getting ready to walk down aisle is harder. Mom walked in, she held her chest and walked up to me, I watched her on the mirror, she shouldn't have come here, I smiled already feeling the tears.
"Please don't ruin her makeup, Mrs Nkosi".Kim said smiling.
"I'm sorry, you just look so beautiful, I am so proud of you".
I stood up and hugged mom who was crying making everyone smile, Viwe just stood there watching Kim still smiling making Olwethu hit her with the elbow again, she chuckled and Kim looked up at Viwe. Mom moved back and I tried to hold the tears with my eyelashes, shit, my makeup is now ruined.
Mom pulled Olwethu to a hug too, she frowned and mom kissed our heads before brushing our faces. Kim smiled and mom pulled them all into a hug, I'm the first one to get married between all my friends and honestly, I was never supposed to get married.
"Okay, it's time".
Dad walked in, he walked up to us, mom kissed him making Olwethu grin, everytime they kiss she does that, where does she think we came from?. Dad walked up to me and took my hands in his, Olwethu smiled and we did a handshake and they all left. I am getting married, I'm about to change vows with Samkelo Zulu, the love of my life.
Dad smiled and that made me smile too, it's not everyday you see pops smiling, he is proud of me, I'm proud of me. We walked up to the door and I stopped, fuck me, I'm really doing this, I took a deep breath watching the people, more than a hundred people, all family and family friends and close friends, how the hell do we have do many people?.
Olwethu ran up to the door."What is it? Are you getting cold feet?".
"No".
"Then what's going on?".
Lwazi also ran up to us making me feel a bit better."You good? Umkhwenyana ulindile".(The groom is waiting).
"There's so many people out there".
And Olwethu just laughed, dumb ass."Owami, you're a runway model, a supermodel, you walk down longer aisles almost every month".
"Is that suppose to make me feel better?".
"Yes, it's suppose to make you feel better! You walk around wearing bikinis with a million people watching you, this is nothing, come on, ngfuna ikhekhe".(I want the cake).
That made me laugh, this is why she's my younger sister, she's crazy, she looked at me and I smiled and nod, she raised her thumbs and Lwazi smiled kissing both our cheeks, she smiled and took his arm and they ran back out. Dad took my arm and the song played. Everyone turned and watched me making me smile, my in laws look really happy with me and how I look in mom's dress, obviously we did some adjustments.
Samuel actually froze and he wiped his cheeks making his father smile even wider, he's crying, I should be crying not him.
"Wamuhle smomondiya sami".(You look so beautiful my love).
I smiled and dad shook Samuel's hand."Umphathe kahle, umnakekele".(Be good to her, look after her).
We stared at each other the pastor started and I heard nothing he said, all I heard was my heart beating so fast it's gonna explode, this is happening. Samuel held my hands a bit tighter assuring me this is real and that made me smile.
"I do".He said smiling.
"I do".I also said.
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife you may kiss the bride".
I looked back at our parents and so did he and dad decided to fold his arms making this even more awkward, Samuel chuckled and he pulled me closer to him and he just kissed me, I moved my hands up to his face and held his cheeks, everyone cheered, Olwethu screaming.
And we're officially married. The after party went well, Olwethu and Luke kissed each other all over the dance floor and Kim seems to be enjoying Viwe's company, she's been laughing at everything she's been saying, she does look good, she opted for a pool over showing her arms covered in tattoos, she tied her hair up in a bun showing her ear rings and a pair of pants suits and sneakers.
Lwazi and Bianca have been laughing with each other for the past hours, they do get along despite the fact that they are not in love at all or even the fact that he's gay and she knows it. I smiled at my in laws dancing together, my mother in law is smoking hot and King is just like fine wine, that made me chuckle and my dad smiled taking my hand for a dance.
I'm happy, we're happy and it's all that matters now, my baby is growing, my sister is safe and everyone is happy. We're all happy.
